Authentication and the Internet-of-Things
Overview
A New Cybersecurity Paradigm Without Usernames & Passwords
Cybersecurity has become a rapidly evolving chess game. Authentication is one of the key pillars of cybersecurity, as are data integrity assurances, firewalls, virus scans, and other security protections.
In this session, learn how authentication evolved from the early days of "usernames and passwords", to now arguably becoming the most critical cyber component required in securing the interactions of people and machines within the rapid explosion of new technologies such as the cloud and the Internet-of-Things.
As an alternative to "patching up", or attempting to somehow enhance the old paradigm of password-based systems, we'll explore insights into the new world of authentication which is already well underway!
