Receiving FOXChat Emails that Get Caught in Spam Filters


To ensure you receive real-time member discussion emails from FOXChat, the new FOX online discussions platform, you may need to 'whitelist' the FOXChat email domain: connectedcommunity.org.

Whitelisting tells your email provider that we are a "safe sender", preventing these emails from ending up in your spam folder. It is best to have your IT team whitelist this domain for your whole organization. Or, alternatively, you can follow the instructions below to whitelist FOXChat for your inbox only:


Whitelisting email addresses in common email platforms:

Outlook 2016, 2013, & 2010:

  1. Click the Home tab
  2. Click Junk
  3. Click Junk Email Options
  4. Click Safe Senders
  5. Click Add
  6. Enter the email domain to whitelist: connectedcommunity.org
  7. Click OK to finish


Outlook 2007:

  1. Find a FOXChat email in your Inbox or your Spam folder
  2. Right-click on the email you received
  3. Click Junk Email
  4. Click Add Safe Sender to Safe Senders List to finish


Gmail:

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner, then click Settings
  2. Click on Filters and then Create a new filter
  3. In the 'From' field, enter the email domain to whitelist
  4. Click Create filter with this search
  5. In the box titled 'When a message arrives that matches this search,' select Never send it to spam
  6. Click Create filter


Yahoo! Mail

  1. Select Settings
  2. Click Filters and then Add
  3. Enter a Filter Name
  4. Enter the email domain to whitelist
  5. Select Inbox as the folder to deliver the email to
  6. Click Save and then Save again


iOS and Android Devices (smart phones, tablets)

Depending on the email platform you are pulling emails from (such as Gmail, Outlook, etc.), you will want to whitelist the email domain through those programs directly, as outlined above. As an added measure, you can also add an email address to your address book from your phone.
