Generational Shift: Servicing the Millennials
Greg McCann, Founder, McCann & Associates Consulting, Professor, Family Enterprise Center, Stetson University and Jill Shipley, Director of Next Generation Education, GenSpring Family Offices

As wealth and family leadership transition from one generation to the next, it's not unusual for families to change advisors and family office staff.  Understanding the service requirements at different client life stages allows advisors and family office managers to adapt their service model to the needs of different generations, and reduce the risk of such shifts. As family office executives begin serving the next generation of family leaders, they’re likely to find that it’s no longer business as usual. Younger clients, especially those in their 20s and 30s, view the world from a different perspective. They have different risk tolerances than their parents. Their communications styles and preferences are influenced by new technologies. In this session, become familiar with demographic norms and learn how to meet the next generation where they are. The future of your family office depends on it.
