Presenter Biographies

Jeff Dunn, CFP
Director, Client Advisory Team, Tolleson Wealth Management

Jeff Dunn, CFP®, serves as a primary contact, financial strategist and coordinator for all Tolleson Wealth Management services. He manages the financial planning and oversight process for clients by identifying, implementing and monitoring strategies that meet each client’s investment, financial and wealth transfer goals.

Prior to joining Tolleson Wealth Management in 2015, Jeff worked as a Vice President and Private Banker for JP Morgan Private Bank and Assistant Vice President for Bernstein Private Wealth Management. Before his career in financial services, Jeff served in the United States Air Force.

Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University. He is also a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. In his free time, Jeff enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his wife and their four children.

 

Mercy Goddard
Vice President and Family Member, Investment Resources Corporation

Mercy grew up in the family office industry as an active third generation family member.  Following a brief stint working in government, Mercy officially joined her family office, Investment Resources Corporation, in 2018.  Mercy first worked in the industry, for Family Office Exchange (FOX), as an intern in 2014, focusing on generational characteristics and interactions.  Today, in addition to working in her own family’s office, Mercy continues to work with FOX as a part-time consultant.  Mercy’s work with FOX focuses on generational characteristics, and family learning.  Additionally, she has had the opportunity to work with FOX clients as they undergo the transition involved in bringing the next generation of decision makers to the table.

Mercy holds her B.A. from the University of Southern California (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), and her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame.
 

Dave Loomis
Founder and President, Loomis Marketing

Dave Loomis is founder and president of Loomis Marketing, a consulting firm focused on branding and innovation. Over his career, Dave has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies, including DuPont, GE, Goodyear, IBM, Motorola and Xerox.  He’s also counseled  leaders and individuals on how to apply marketing best practices to themselves, strengthening their personal brands…within their companies and communities.

Most recently, Dave served as Chief Marketing Officer of Dix & Eaton, one of the country’s largest independently-owned public relations firms.  There, he helped clients craft their brands and helped individuals proactively manage their public reputations, especially in the digital world.

For 15 years, he worked at the holding company office of NACCO Industries, a $3 billion public diversified public company.  While there, he advised the subsidiaries on marketing, wrote the company’s annual report and wrote speeches for the CEO, who was the leader of the founding family.  During that time, he also taught branding at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.

Loomis began his career in Chicago at Leo Burnett, one of the world’s largest ad agencies.  He attended Northwestern University as an undergrad and graduate student, obtaining his MBA from Kellogg.

He’s extremely active in his home-town community of Cleveland, OH where he serves on multiple boards, from arts institutions to charter schools.  His travels take him all over the world, but he and his wife, Dori, have a particular love for all parts of the UK.  He has two daughters in the fields of architecture and fashion.

 

Family Office Exchange Presenters

Kathy Bayert
Director, Program Design

Kathy Bayert is the Director of Program Design for Family Office Exchange (FOX). In her role, she leads program design and content development for the FOX suite of learning programs. With her deep expertise in developing learning programs, Kathy partners closely with FOX subject matter experts and members to design leading-edge and relevant programs, identifying emerging trends within the industry and creating content to help inform, engage, and activate FOX members.

Prior to joining FOX, Kathy led the Learning and Advisory Services team responsible for the design, development, and delivery of leadership development programs, research, and services for the Network of Executive Women members and partner companies. Kathy has worked as an Organizational Development Leader at Sara Lee and as an Organization and Change Strategy Consultant with IBM/PricewaterhouseCoopers.

She received her M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and her B.S. degree in organizational communications from the University of Texas at Austin.

 

Paulina Cromwell, CFA
Product Manager

Paulina Cromwell is a product manager at Family Office Exchange (FOX).  She is responsible for client education, advisory, and research related to Impact Investing & Philanthropy. Paulina cares deeply about helping families align their activities with their values. She works with families to achieve their goals across the family enterprise, including charitable giving, impact investing, and business initiatives. ​

Prior to joining FOX, Paulina was a portfolio manager in the Family Office Investment Advisory Practice at Northern Trust. She worked with family offices and their foundations on investment strategy, asset allocation, portfolio construction, and manager selection. She also led the team that conceived Northern Trust’s Family Office Consulting business. Paulina began her career in Corporate Strategy, focused on the company’s M&A activities and the annual strategic plan with the Board of Directors.​ 

Paulina received a B.S. Degree in Finance from Florida State University, with a Minor in History. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (C.F.A.) charterholder and a member of the C.F.A. Society Chicago. Paulina is also involved with several mentorship and financial coaching organizations throughout the Chicago area. 

 

Ann Dugan
Senior Managing Director of Advisory and Education Services

Ann Dugan is the senior managing director of Advisory and Education Services leading the FOX team in the delivery of services to substantial family enterprises and family offices striving to achieve long-term sustainability and multi-generational success.

Ms. Dugan was an early innovator in understanding the power of knowledge, research, and entrepreneurship in building the enterprising family capacity and sustainability as she launched one of the first global institutes at the University of Pittsburgh. As founder and leader for nearly 30 years, of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence while also serving as the Assistant Dean for the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business her success in helping other families, universities and regions flourish has been recognized with numerous awards. Ann led her own successful succession in 2014. Post University, Ann focused her work on assisting families to start philanthropic organizations and foundations, served as Executive in Residence for the Family Business Network (FBN) until joining the FOX leadership team in 2016.

Ann holds a B.S. in Economics and M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. Ann is a fourth-generation member of a business-owning family and is a serial entrepreneur who has founded and led several ventures to success. Ms. Dugan currently serves on several public and private Boards of Directors.

 

Nate Hamilton, CFA
FOX Advisory Board Member

Nate is currently Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Heritage Partners Group, a private equity investment and operations platform focused on the acquisition and roll-up of consumer retail and information services businesses. Nate has significant experience in partnering with and investing alongside private family capital and family-owned businesses.
Prior to founding Heritage, he worked in investment banking, sales and trading, and private equity across several institutions including Goldman Sachs, UBS, and as a co-founder of FDX Capital, a direct-investment platform built for FOX family offices. Nate currently sits on the Advisory Board of Family Office Exchange and is a consultant to the Direct Investment Network.

He earned his B.S. degree in Economics from Vanderbilt and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
 

Mindy Kalinowski Earley, CMP, CFBA
Chief Learning Officer FOX Family Learning Center™

Mindy Earley is chief learning officer for Family Office Exchange. She believes that empowerment and knowledge are key to living a purpose-driven and self-actualized life. She is inspired by helping people learn, grow and discover the way that they will make personal and productive contributions, using their strengths and talents.

Mindy has held various roles in small and large family offices and has been responsible for creating and stewarding professional learning networks in support of human and intellectual capital. She has designed learning experiences that increase the knowledge base and enhance the life path of individuals while providing personalized support and coaching to help them meet their goals. After spending over a decade working in higher education Mindy is skilled in program creation for the student and young adult population. Her work included developing pioneering programs for learners to engage and thrive in college and through life after college.

Combining her M.A. in Education, with a focus on learning development and educational theory, and her undergraduate degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, with a focus on programming and event planning, Mindy is uniquely trained to create exceptional experiences rooted in sound learning practices. As a Certified Meeting Professional with a certificate in Family Business Advising she enjoys helping families and rising generation members navigate the unique world of family enterprise and family relationships by understanding that responsibility and intention pave a path to personal achievement and satisfaction.

 

Kristi Kuechler
Managing Director, Investor Market

Kristi Kuechler is the Managing Director of the Investor Market for Family Office Exchange (FOX). In her role, Kristi develops content and programming for FOX learning events, including the Global Investment Forum. Kristi also moderates both the FOX Direct Investing Network and the Investment Network. Kristi opened the West Coast office for FOX and is based in San Francisco.

Kristi joined FOX after five years as Partner and Managing Director of Lattice Strategies, an investment firm based in San Francisco. Prior to her work at Lattice, Kristi served as President of the Institute for Private Investors (IPI), where she was responsible for content and curriculum development and oversaw all matters related to membership. Kristi also created the Private Wealth Management program offered at Stanford University and ran it for three years.

Kristi has a B.A. degree from University of California-Davis, and an M.A. degree in educational policy from Stanford University.
