In 2017, Dan founded DT Capital (DTC) as a commercial lending and consulting platform focused on analyzing and structuring complex transactions. In its first year, DTC underwrote over $60 Billion in lending opportunities across the United States and advised on the closing of approximately $1.7 Billion in loans. Given his views, Dan sold most of his “investments” in commercial real estate over the last two years.

Dan founded and ran Real Estate Specialties Group (RESG) at Bank OZK (formerly Bank of the Ozarks) for 14 years, ultimately rising to become Chief Lending Officer and Vice Chairman of the Bank. development/ownership firms. He was heavily involved in the acquisition, development, management, stabilization, re-positioning, and monetization of virtually all commercial property types, including multifamily, office, retail, industrial, hospitality, medical office, land, and lot development.
