Arne Boudewyn
Head of Family Wealth and Culture Services, Wells Fargo Wealth & Investment Management

Arne Boudewyn leads Family Wealth and Culture Services (FWCS) for Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) and is responsible for the successful execution of client and advisor interaction models that support WIM’s long-term engagement with the ultra-high-net-worth segment. The FWCS provides a continuum of strategic advisory services to individuals, couples and families (and their representatives) via its Family and Business History Center; Center for Family Business Transitions; Center for Family Dynamics, Education and Governance; and Philanthropy Center. Profile clients, and the advisors who support them, benefit from ongoing access to a national consulting team of PhD-level and other advanced-degree professionals, who advise on strategies for addressing the complex personal, familial, and financial considerations that often accompany significant wealth, and influence both its multigenerational impact and the success of wealth transition plans. In 2021 FWCS was recognized as “best in the industry” with a Family Wealth Report Award for its integrated and differentiated advice model, and its multi-year investment in providing national and regional rising generation educational events for millennial and generation Z wealth stakeholders.

Arne joined Wells Fargo in 2003, and held a series of leadership roles within Enterprise Human Resources before transitioning to WIM in 2009, where he helped launch Wells Fargo’s Family Wealth Group, and subsequently WIM’s multi-family office business - Abbot Downing. He holds PhD, MA and BA degrees in psychology from the University of Massachusetts and completed his training at the University of California San Francisco and Harvard Medical School.

Arne is a frequent speaker at Family Office Exchange, Tiger 21, The Institute for Private Investors, Gleneagles and Family Business Magazine’s Transition’s conferences. He is regularly quoted or featured in media outlets that include The Wall Street Journal, American Banker, Bloomberg, CNBC, American City Business Journals, and Barron’s.

He is an honorary board member for Meals on Wheels and divides his time between San Francisco and New York.
 

John Brown
Founder, Business Enterprise Institute

John started his career in Exit Planning 30+ years ago as an estate-planning attorney. He created The BEI Seven Step Exit Planning Process™ and successfully tested it on hundreds of his own business-owner clients. In 1990, he wrote How to Run Your Business So You Can Leave It in Style and in 2008 wrote Cash Out Move On: Get Top Dollar—and More—Selling Your Business. With hundreds of thousands of copies sold, John is the No. 1 selling author on Exit Planning for business owners. In 2016, John released his newest book, Exit Planning: The Definitive Guide, which lays out the steps business owners must take to achieve all of their aspirations as they exit their businesses. John started BEI in 1996 for the express purpose of helping owners benefit from their lives’ work by supporting business advisors who share the same vision.
 

Maureen Burns
Partner, Bain & Company

Maureen Burns is a senior partner in Bain’s Customer practice. She is one of Bain’s foremost experts on the Net Promoter System and Customer Loyalty. Maureen has led some of Bain’s most notable digital transformations, helping her clients harness technology and data to earn Customer Loyalty. Maureen earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. She is based in Boston.
 

Katherine Dunlevie, CFP®, ChFC, CTFA
President and CEO, The Family Office at Synovus 

Katherine leads The Family Office at Synovus, which provides family office services to more than 80 ultra-high net worth families and administers more than $10 billion in assets. She directs all aspects of The Family Office at Synovus with a focus on client service, new business development, long-term business strategy, and financial performance. Katherine also leads collaborative efforts to plan, develop, and implement strategies that deliver exceptional services in support of family enterprises.

Katherine’s entire career in financial services has been with Synovus. Prior to joining the Synovus family in 2002, she served with Cru, formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ, at the University of Georgia.

As a double Tar Heel, Katherine earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated with Highest Distinction, and an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. In addition, she is an Honors Graduate of the Cannon Trust School. Katherine’s certifications include Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA), and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®). She also is a member of the Financial Planning Association.

She is a highly regarded thought-leader in the family office industry, often speaking at conferences around the country. Katherine has been recognized by Georgia Trend Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40, and is a recipient of the Jim Blanchard Leadership Award at Synovus. Additionally, Katherine was shortlisted for Family Wealth Alliance’s Boutique Multi-Family Office Executive Award. Katherine formerly served on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Board of Visitors and currently serves on UNC’s Exercise Science Board of Advisors and the Kenan- Flagler Business School Next Generation Board of Advisors.
 

Karen McNeill, PhD
Managing Director, Family History, Ascent Private Capital Management of U.S. Bank

As an award-winning historian and biographer, Karen helps clients explore their family’s journey through generations. “I’m passionate about history and its importance in helping us understand ourselves and the world in which we live. I believe we’re not just products of history: we’re historical actors in a larger narrative, and this awareness can inform how we live our lives and build toward the future.”    

Karen helps families and their businesses discover the people and stories that embody the values and culture that define their legacy and shape their vision of the future. She works with multiple generations within families and key figures in businesses to uncover and construct meaningful histories.

“I believe strongly in the responsibility of everybody to consider the short- and long-term impact of their actions and decisions, and I’ve spent a long time researching and writing about how people address contemporary issues while consciously trying to shape the future.”

Karen has nearly twenty years of experience developing history projects with individuals, families, businesses, private and public sector organizations. She has been a consultant to heritage foundations, landmarks commissions and many private and public individuals, and has taught, published and earned numerous honors and awards for her work. She is also a seasoned public speaker and facilitator and is particularly engaged in our initiatives around philanthropic impact and women and wealth.

She earned a master’s degree and Ph.D. in history from the University of California, Berkeley.
 

Scott D. Weaver, J.D.
General Counsel & Chief Fiduciary Officer, Willow Street

As Willow Street’s general counsel and chief fiduciary officer, Scott advises the firm on legal matters and works closely with the Client Strategy and Client Integration teams. Scott is a resource for client families and their advisors and serves as a director, officer, and committee member for client private trust companies. Scott also serves as Chair of the Willow Street Trust Company of Wyoming, LLC Trust Committee.

Prior to joining Willow Street in 2018, Scott was a private client attorney at Geittmann Larson Swift, LLP and its predecessors, where he focused on tax, business, and estate planning. He writes and speaks regularly on wealth transfer planning topics and has collaborated on Wyoming legislative enhancements, including providing testimony to the Wyoming legislature. Scott is a founding Director of the Wyoming Trust Association and continues to serve in that capacity.

Scott holds a BA in Mathematical Economics from Colorado College and a JD from the University of Colorado Law School. Prior to law school, he worked in the Emerging Market Economies section at the Federal Reserve Board as a senior research assistant. Scott also coached collegiate debate, leading the University of Colorado debate team to victory at the 2010 National Parliamentary Tournament of Excellence, the highest award in collegiate parliamentary debate. Scott is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fly angling, skiing, and cycling throughout the Mountain West. He serves on the board of the Jackson Hole chapter of Trout Unlimited.
 

Jaleigh J. White, CPA, CPWA®
Director,  Baird Family Wealth, Private Wealth Management

Jaleigh is Director of Baird Family Wealth. She came to Baird through the 2019 merger with Hilliard Lyons to lead the creation of the Baird Family Wealth platform.  Advisor teams certified as family wealth advisors on that platform have chosen to focus their practice on serving UHNW families that are private business owners and/or families of legacy wealth in a holistic manner. The Baird Family Wealth team provides development opportunities for those advisors to expand their skillset beyond the technical aspects of their role to provide assistance to their families in meeting the challenges of each family’s unique dynamics and becoming intentional in preparing the rising generation of the family for their stewardship role. Jaleigh has also expanded collaboration with key internal and external strategic partners to meet the broad needs of each family.  While she does not have her own clients, Jaleigh spends a substantial amount of her time meeting with clients and prospects of advisors that have complex issues to create a bespoke experience for each family based on their needs and goals. 

At Hilliard Lyons, Jaleigh was a member of the firm’s executive team and was responsible for Hilliard Lyons Trust Company, Wealth and Family Office, wealth planning and all product areas.  She began her career at Arthur Andersen and spent a dozen years in public accounting working with middle market business owners before joining Fifth Third Bank where she was Managing Director in the Private Bank and leader of the team that created the bank’s multi-family office, Mirador Family Wealth Advisors.

Jaleigh is on the board of Leadership Louisville, Waterfront Development Foundation and is a member of the Leaders Council of the UHNW Institute and the International Women’s Forum.  She remains involved in the AICPA on a national level having served on council, trustee of the AIPCA Insurance Trust, chair of the Investment Committee and frequent speaker at conferences on equity compensation and business owner topics.

Gabrielle (Gaby) Griffin
Market Leader for Business Owners and Family Office Executives

Gaby Griffin is the Market Leader for Business Owners and Family Office Executives at Family Office Exchange (FOX). In her role, Gaby leads the overall Family Office Council experience and manages multiple councils. She provides members the opportunities to learn from and share ideas with highly accomplished and hard-to-find peers in a confidential environment. No matter what hat she’s wearing, her goal is simple – to create value for families by providing objective guidance and timely relevant information in order to make informed decisions. Gaby takes a very personalized approach to her relationship management practice and has built client and advisory relationships that span over two decades. She also serves as a member of the FOX leadership team.

​Gaby brings 25 years of wealth management, corporate banking, investment, and strategic advisory experience to FOX and its members. Gaby recently joined FOX from Capital Group. Prior to that, she held leadership positions at LaSalle Bank N.A. advising business owners, their families and family offices, as well as working directly with ultra-high net worth clients as a relationship manager for Abbot Downing. Gaby has been involved with the FOX community for over 20 years.

Gaby earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She obtained a Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) designation at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2013.  Gaby is a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council (CEPC), Women Investment Professionals, 100 Women in Finance, DyMynd Angels, and Urban Land Institute (ULI). Gaby served on the Board of Trustees for Victory Gardens Theater from 2012-2020. Additionally, she has held several other positions in the non-profit sector.
 

Nate Hamilton
Vice Chair

Nate Hamilton, CFA, is currently Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Heritage Partners Group, a private equity investment and operations platform focused on the acquisition and roll-up of consumer retail and information services businesses. Nate has significant experience in partnering with and investing alongside private family capital and family-owned businesses. Prior to founding Heritage, he worked in investment banking, sales and trading and private equity across several institutions including Goldman Sachs, UBS and as a co-founder of FDX Capital, a direct-investment platform built for FOX family offices. Nate currently sits on the Advisory Board of Family Office Exchange and is a consultant to the Direct Investment Network. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Vanderbilt and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
 

Glen W. Johnson
President of Membership

Glen W. Johnson is President of Membership at Family Office Exchange (FOX). In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of the member experience, ensuring that each family member, family office executive, and trusted advisor has an unsurpassed experience partnering with FOX by providing unique industry knowledge and insights coupled with a safe and confidential environment where members can share best practices. In addition, Glen oversees the operations of FOX and is charged with establishing and executing systems to execute FOX’s strategic plan, promoting its vision and service-centric culture, and enabling the FOX team to work together to exceed our member’s expectations.

Glen has over 30 years of experience working with family offices, business owners, and executives, first as an attorney and then as a wealth advisor, eventually founding Mirador Family Wealth Advisors – the multi-family office for Fifth Third Bank. He has worked with business owners and executives across all stages of their business life cycle including business succession.  Glen writes and speaks nationally focusing on family and business governance and the unique challenges faced during the sale and transition of closely held businesses.

Glen earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Education from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and a Juris Doctorate degree from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, MI.
 

Peter Moustakerski
CEO

Peter Moustakerski is CEO of Family Office Exchange (FOX), the premier resource for families managing private enterprises and family wealth across generations. For over 30 years, FOX has been recognized as the industry’s most exclusive, innovative, and influential community for peer networking and learning, and has provided independent insights, expert guidance, and practical solutions to complex problems related to family transitions and family wealth.

Peter has spent more than 25 years as a C-level strategist and executive across a variety of industries, including wealth management, capital markets, and technology. He is a former family office executive and FOX member, management consultant, and entrepreneur. He has served as a strategy, innovation, and growth leader for a number of private and public companies and founded two start-ups in New York City and China.

Prior to joining FOX, Peter served as Chief Operating Officer of the family office of the founder of Bridgewater Associates, where he worked closely with the principal family members to envision and oversee the redesign of the family office strategy and day-to-day operations to better serve the evolving needs of the family. Before that, Peter was a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, advising many of the world’s top C-suite leaders, and a strategy executive at UBS, leading all growth and transformation initiatives for the bank’s wealth management organization.

Most recently, Peter was Chief Strategy Officer of News America Marketing, a former News Corp. subsidiary, where he built and led the Corporate Strategy and M&A function and led the company’s successful carve-out and sale to a private equity sponsor. In addition, for more than 20 years, Peter has been a contributing writer and researcher with The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), and has led many qualitative and quantitative research projects, and written a number of influential white papers for the EIU, NBER, and other research institutions and media publications.

Peter holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University in China, and is proficient in Mandarin, Russian, and Bulgarian.
 

David Toth
Managing Director

David Toth is a Managing Director at Family Office Exchange (FOX) and is market leader for FOX’s Wealth Advisor members. In his role, he serves as Co-Chair for Multi-Family Office and Integrated Wealth Advisor Councils. He also Co-Chairs the Strategic Chief Investment Officer Council, a peer group for family office CIOs. 

David serves as relationship manager for select wealth advisors and families providing strategic guidance, access to essential research and offers key insights on issues of importance to them. He has authored, presented, and consulted on topics ranging from client experience and pricing strategies to talent management. 

He is as a member of the FOX leadership team, helping to develop and execute strategies designed to better meet member’s evolving needs. David also participates in the development of new research and thought leadership for FOX members.  

David brings over thirty years of wealth and investment management, marketing, and strategic consulting experience to FOX and its members. He held key leadership positions in the Asset Management Division at PNC Financial formulating and implementing growth strategies that helped to more than double the size of their wealth and ultra-high net worth businesses. 

David earned a B.B.A. majoring in Marketing and an M.B.A. majoring in Finance & Economics from University of Michigan and the University of Detroit/Mercy, respectively. In addition, David has completed Leadership and Executive Development programs at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. 
 

Scott Winget
Enterprise Market Leader

Scott Winget is the Enterprise Market Leader at Family Office Exchange (FOX). In his role, Scott serves as Co-Chair for Enterprise Councils and Executive Councils, where members can share experiences, ideas and best practices with veteran peers in a confidential environment. Scott also serves as relationship manager for Enterprise Family members, in order to understand their unique needs and provide them with access to important research and objective guidance. He is as a member of the FOX leadership team, helping to develop and execute service strategies designed to meet the needs of his market segment, and also participates in new research and thought leadership meaningful to members.

Serving families for over 25 years in the areas or family office, wealth management and estate and tax planning, Scott brings significant experience to FOX and its members. Prior to joining FOX, Scott created and led multi-disciplinary and award-winning consulting groups that provided comprehensive family office services at both Cresset and Ascent Private Capital Management. Earlier, he was a senior wealth planner at Wells Fargo Family Wealth (later, Abbot Downing) and began his career as an income tax and estate planning specialist with Arthur Andersen and EY. Scott has participated in the FOX community for over 15 years.

Scott is a CPA and holds a J.D. from The Ohio State University, where he also earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a dual major in Accounting and Finance. He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council, Colorado Society of CPAs and the Colorado Bar Association. He has also held several securities and insurance licenses and served on the board of the Mountain Area Land Trust as Treasurer and head of the Finance Committee among other roles with non-profits.
