Haven Allen
Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, mHUB

Haven Allen, chief executive officer and co-founder of mHUB and managing partner of the mHUB Product Impact Fund, is a business leader and technology strategist focused on driving hardtech and manufacturing entrepreneurship to create economic opportunity. Over the past seven years, Mr. Allen’s leadership has translated into mHUB being recognized as one of the nation’s fastest growing hardtech innovation centers. 

Prior to launching mHUB, Haven was an economic development strategist at World Business Chicago where he directed the Advisory Council for Chicagoland Manufacturing and led an economic development agenda to support growth and job creation in the manufacturing sector. Haven started his career as an entrepreneur in the event production and publishing industries.

In 2021, Haven was selected by the University of Chicago Booth School of Business as a Neubauer Civic Scholar Fellow, and as part of the program, he will earn a Master of Business Administration. Haven has a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in economic policy and a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Science, Technology and Public Policy from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Illinois at Chicago.
 

 

Eric W. Bennett, CFA, CPA
Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer, Tolleson Wealth Management

Eric has 30+ years of experience in the asset management industry and is the Co-founder, Chief Investment Officer, and Chairman of the Investment Committee at Tolleson Wealth Management, a $8 billion AUM multi-family office. After spending a decade in “Big-4” public accounting specializing in high net-worth wealth planning, he co-founded Tolleson Wealth Management in 1998. Following a five-year sabbatical as the founding Executive Director at the Brain Performance Institute, a neuroscience non-profit that is part of the University of Texas System, Eric rejoined Tolleson Wealth Management in 2017.
 

 

C. Jacob Farver (“Jake”) 
Senior Managing Director, Somera Capital

Mr. Farver is a fourth-generation family member of a window & door manufacturing business headquartered in Pella, Iowa that was founded by his great-grandfather in 1925.  Mr. Farver was integral in the formation of their family office over twenty years ago and today serves as the Co-Chairman of its Board of Managers and serves on its investment, education and risk committees.  The family provides leadership at the Board of Directors level for the operating company which is otherwise professionally managed.

Mr. Farver has pursued his own professional career over the last two decades outside of his family office activities and serves as a Sr. Managing Director, voting investment committee member and executive committee member with Somera Capital Management, LLC (“Somera”).  Somera is a boutique commercial real estate investment firm headquartered in Santa Barbara, CA founded in 1994 after a family’s divestiture of a significant operating business.  Mr. Farver has led the East Coast operations for Somera’s investment and ownership activities since opening its Washington, DC office in 2006.  Somera has executed over 130 investment partnerships and direct acquisitions of a diverse and unique portfolio of commercial real estate assets across the United States with total valuations exceeding $1B.  Somera executes each investment on a stand-alone basis deploying its principal’s equity and that of its accredited investor partners and like-minded family offices.  Mr. Farver received a B.A. degree in Economics and a B.A. degree in Political Science from Wake Forest University.  Mr. Farver resides with his wife, Claire, and their two children in Washington, D.C.
 

 

Alan Heath
Chairman and CEO, Wind River Trust Company 

Alan Heath is currently active with Wind River Trust Company, a Wyoming non-depository bank acting as a single-family private trust company and Drumore LLC, a related single-family office. At Wind River Trust Company, he is a Chairman & CEO, a member of the board of directors, Chairman of the Investment Committee and a member of the Distribution and Trust Committees. At Drumore he is Chairman and Managing Member. He is an individual trustee on a number of large family trusts. Alan has, over time, been active with a number of family wealth and advisory companies, including The Strategy Group, Inc. and STG Family Transition Group, S.C. of México. He has previously advised families in business and families of wealth, including their CEOs and top management teams for nearly thirty years as both a consultant and an executive. For a number of years, he was a family facilitator and guest lecturer at Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program, Families in Business: From Generation to Generation, which examines pivotal issues facing family businesses.

Alan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from Kalamazoo College and his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law. He did post-graduate work in finance at Western Michigan University and has completed the Corporate Boards course at Harvard Business School. Alan is a certificate holder in family business advising from the Family Firm Institute. He also is a long-term member of the Collaboration for Family Flourishing, a multi-disciplinary think tank focused on issues of family wellbeing. He serves the Chancellor’s office of the University of Colorado as a Global Ambassador. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Wyoming Trust Association.
 

 

Alan Houghton
Chief Executive Officer, GOELET, LLC

Alan is the CEO and board chair of Goelet, LLC, a 19-person family office based in New York City, where is also serves on the firms’ investment, finance and audit, and compensation committees. Previously he worked for Pitcairn, a multi-family office and Shelterwood Financial Services, a family business owned investment advisory boutique that was merged into Pitcairn. Alan is the vice chairman of Market Street Trust Company, a New Hampshire based family office, where he also chairs the investment committee and is a member of the nominating & governance and trust committees. In addition, he is on the board and investment committee for a South Dakota based private trust company.
 

 

Erik Larson
Director of Finance and Investor Relations, Ball Ventures

Erik Larson is the Director of Finance and Investor Relations for Ball Ventures.

Erik brought 12 years of applicable experience to Ball Ventures when he joined the company in 2013, the majority coming from the commercial lending industry with JP Morgan Chase and Zions Bank. 

Erik joined Ball Ventures as Director of Finance working under the direction of Neil Floyd in handling the debt capital needs of the company.  He’s successfully managed various commercial lending relationships, various non-recourse lending relationships, managed several of Ball Ventures’ investments in lending institutions and private equity funds, and has been a member of several Ball Venture’s employee-led committees.     

In January 2021, Erik formally joined the Real Estate Capital Investments team at Ball Ventures fulling both financing and investor relations roles. 

Erik holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration Degree, with emphasis in Real Estate and Finance, both issued from the University of Utah.
 

 

Cortney Liddiard
Chief Executive Officer, Ball Ventures

Cortney Liddiard is the CEO of Ball Ventures, a commercial real estate and private equity company with projects across the United States.  

Cortney Liddiard began his career working in U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch's office in Washington, D.C. where he served on the taxation staff and was exposed to a variety of taxation issues from the legislative perspective. He later joined and became a partner at Rudd & Company, PLLC, a large regional accounting firm, where he represented clients in all aspects of accounting and taxation and provided business consultation including real estate development, finance, and taxation advice.

In July 2002, Cortney Liddiard became Chief Executive Officer of Ball Ventures, a commercial real estate and private equity company with projects across the country.  In connection with Ball Ventures’ private equity investments, Cortney serves on the board of directors of ARB Midstream, LLC, an energy investment and development company, on the executive management committee of Sunterra Springs, LLC, a healthcare services company, and on the board of directors for Texas Security Bank and the board of directors for Blue Cross of Idaho.

Cortney attended Utah State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting, cum laude, and his Master of Accountancy with an emphasis in tax.

In his spare time, Cortney enjoys being with his family in the outdoors and is an avid fly fisherman and cycling enthusiast.

 

Tahri Molifua
Managing Director of Real Estate Investment, Ball Ventures

Tahri Molifua is the Managing Director of Real Estate Capital at Ball Ventures. In this role Tahri leads many of the programmatic real estate joint ventures that Ball Ventures has by providing strategic leadership and capital allocation to help grow the business pursuits of each partnership. Tahri joined Ball Ventures in 2012 to lead the asset management functions for the company’s real estate holdings, including business plan development, financial analytics, and building the NOI for the portfolio. Prior to joining Ball Ventures, Tahri worked in for groups specializing in construction, real estate management and land entitlement.
 
Tahri also helped launch Ball Ventures’ real estate fund, a discretionary closed-end $150 million fund with a concentration of opportunistic investments across a variety of asset types. This investment vehicle complements the mission of Ball Ventures’ partnerships through the capitalization of the best opportunities within the network.  
 
Tahri is a graduate of Brigham Young University, Idaho with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, and holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate from Cornell University.
 

 

Allen Morris
Chairman and CEO, Allen Morris Company

Since taking the helm of the Allen Morris Company in 1980 at the age of 28, W. Allen Morris has propelled the real estate firm his father established in 1958.  The company has over 85 successful developments to its credit focusing selectively on best-in-class multi-family residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-used projects in unique locations with unparalleled amenities.

He is the president or manager of our 100 real estate-related companies or partnerships.  His professional designations include CCIM, SIOR, COM, CRE, FRICS.

Allen’s career spans more than 45 years in real estate development, brokerage & property management. He has received numerous professional distinctions including the 2016 Miami-Dade County Chairman of the Year Apogee Award from South Florida Business & Wealth magazine; 2017 Power Leader in Real Estate by the South Florida Business Journal; and 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Allen has been an active member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) since 1982 and the former Chairman of the Florida YPO Chapter. He also serves as a Board member of The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the United Way.   

Allen is a graduate of The McCallie School, Georgia Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School, and is pursuing post-graduate studies at Oxford University. 

He is the author of All In: How to Risk Everything for Everything that Matters, released in May 2022 by Simon & Shuster.
 

 

Spencer Morris
President, Allen Morris Company

Spencer Morris is the President of the Allen Morris Company and is responsible for overseeing the company’s $2.5 billion development pipeline. His focus is on strategic planning, structuring and financing mixed-use projects throughout the United States.
 
Spencer has played a key role in furthering the firm’s development and investment platforms including the acquisition of new business lines such as AMS Hospitality, the company’s hospitality acquisition and development division. Spencer was previously the Executive Vice President of Development and Chief Investment Officer at the firm, and formerly worked at the Related Group within the condominium division as an Associate Project Manager. 
 
Spencer received his B.A. from Boston University.

 

 

Sean Mooney
Founder and CEO, BluWave 

Sean Mooney is the Founder and CEO of BluWave, an innovative B2B marketplace trusted by more than 500 top private equity firms, leading family offices, and thousands of proactive companies to connect them with best-in-class third party resources for critical due diligence, value creation, and preparing for sale needs.  Prior to founding BluWave, Sean was a Partner and Member of the Investment Committee of SFW Capital Partners, a leading private equity firm in New York.  Sean serves on the Board of Directors of Sachem Inc., a multi-generational family-owned global chemical science company, and previously served on the Board of Directors of AGDATA, MD Buyline, Spectro Scientific, FTI, Alpha Sintered Metals, and Ampac Packaging.  Sean received his MBA from Columbia Business School and BSBA from Georgetown University.
 

 

Dave Mullen
Vice President, SVB Capital

Dave Mullen is a Vice President at SVB Capital where he covers FinTech, PropTech, and ClimateTech for the platform’s direct investing strategy. Previously, Dave was an investor at Wells Fargo Strategic Capital, the venture capital arm of Wells Fargo where he focused on venture growth investments in the technology sector. Dave started his career with J.P. Morgan in the Leveraged Finance division of the Investment Bank where he was responsible for raising capital for both sponsor buyout and M&A transactions. Dave earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Economics, Analytic Finance, and Entrepreneurship and earned his B.B.A. in Finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. Dave currently serves as a lead of the EVCA’s PropTech vertical, where he focuses on engagement and programming for all things PropTech and is also an active mentor and former programming board member of StartOut. 
 

 

Timothy F. McCusker, FSA, CFA, CAIA
Partner, Chief Investment Officer, NEPC LLC

Tim joined NEPC in 2006 and began his career in the investment industry in 2002.  Tim is responsible for overseeing Investment Research at NEPC, a group of 60 professionals including dedicated teams focusing on Alternative Investments, Public Markets, and Asset Allocation.  As CIO, Tim leads investment strategy development for NEPC including market assessment and outlook, communication of key themes and best ideas, as well as evaluation of investment strategies.  Tim also works closely with a wide variety of clients to construct investment portfolios to meet their long-term objectives.  Tim chairs the Partners’ Research Committee, and is a member of the Public Markets and Alternative Research Due Diligence Committees and the Asset Allocation Committee.  Additionally, Tim is a member of the firm's Management Group.  Tim was named in CIO magazine’s “The Knowledge Brokers 2016” edition as one of the world’s most influential investment consultants.  In 2015, Tim topped CIO magazine’s 2015 annual ranking of the world’s most influential investment consultants in the Generalist consultant category.  In 2014, Tim was recognized by CIO magazine in their edition titled “The Knowledge Broker” as one of the top 25 of the world’s most influential investment consultants.  Tim ranked 6th out of the 25 consultants recognized. 

Prior to becoming Chief Investment Officer, Tim served as NEPC’s Director of Traditional Research, overseeing long-only manager research and Asset Allocation.  Previously, Tim worked in Asset Allocation and Manager Research functions, where his responsibilities included maintaining and developing asset allocation models and frameworks used broadly by NEPC clients as well as Global Asset Allocation and Risk Parity manager research.  Before joining NEPC, Tim was an associate at Towers Perrin, where he provided actuarial consulting advice and addressed plan asset-liability issues for clients.

Tim earned his B.A. in Mathematics from Colgate University.  He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA) designations. 
 

 

Mary Jo Palermo
Managing Director, Cambridge Associates 

Mary Jo is a Managing Director and a member of the Private Client Practice at Cambridge Associates, overseeing $4.5 billion of private client and endowment assets. Her engagements include strategic and tactical asset allocation, manager selection, and investment program implementation. Mary Jo has a background in emerging markets and authored a C|A research report, The Case for Diversified Emerging Markets Exposure, which was widely covered in industry publications. She has presented on emerging markets and asset allocation at C|A’s Family, University and Foundation Roundtables as well as at various industry conferences.

Mary Jo has more than 25 years of experience in the international investment arena. Before joining Cambridge Associates in 2004, she worked in the venture capital group at J.P. Morgan Chase, where she led a team charged with screening and launching new businesses with a focus on asset management. Previously, Mary Jo worked for 12 years at J.P. Morgan & Co., where she began in institutional emerging markets fixed income sales and trading covering Latin American institutional clients. She later worked with the private bank to build an equity and fixed income sales unit providing investment advisory services to high-net-worth clients in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. She was later of head of the Mexico high-net-worth client wealth business with operations in New York and Geneva. Prior to J.P. Morgan & Co., Mary Jo served as an institutional account manager at Chemical Bank.
 

 

Emlyn Ade Palmer
Partner, Head of ESG Investing, Albourne

Emlyn joined Albourne in 2019 and was appointed to lead the development of Albourne’s ESG Investing offerings in July 2020.  Emlyn has spent over 20 years in various senior roles in the Alternative Investments industry mostly at Saguenay Strathmore Capital, a fund of funds manager and advisor, where he was Partner and COO.  He was founding COO of Endeavour Capital Management, a relative value fixed income hedge fund, from 2000 to 2003.  Prior to joining Albourne, Emlyn was at Keomo Investments, a company he founded principally to originate investments in Sub-Saharan Africa, and also CFO of Copper Street Capital.  He has a B.Eng (Hons) from Fourah Bay College, the University of Sierra Leone and an MSc in Business & Management Research from Henley Business School, the University of Reading.  Emlyn is a Chartered Accountant (FCA), having trained at Deloitte in London during the early 1990s.
 

 

John Petroff
Vice President, Strategy, Agriculture Capital 

John is the Vice President of Strategy at Agriculture Capital, supporting the strategy and business development activities of the organization. Prior to joining AC, John worked as a consultant with LEK Consulting where he focused on corporate strategy and private equity due diligence client engagements across a wide array of industries. John began his career in corporate sustainability and retains a passion for scaling sustainable and regenerative business practices. Prior to attending business school and joining LEK, John worked as the Director of Sustainability for Taylor Farms.

John studied Economics and Environmental Studies as an undergraduate at Boston College and holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. In his spare time, John enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and golfing.
 

 

Alex Raffol, CFA, CFP
Senior Investment Director, Cambridge Associates

Alex is an Investment Director at Cambridge Associates, where he works with Family Offices in the US, Asia, Latin America, and the UK on asset allocation strategy, manager selection, estate and tax planning, and investment program evaluation. Alex and his team advise on and manage over $10 billion in assets with clients ranging in size from $150 million to over $3.5 billion.

Prior to joining Cambridge Associates, Alex was an Associate at BNY Mellon Wealth Management in Boston, where he worked with private clients and non-profits on investment strategy, estate planning, tax planning, charitable giving, and risk management. Alex’s clients ranged in size from $2 million to $150 million. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Alex worked as an Assistant Football Coach at Harvard University and interned for the New England Patriots in their Coaching and Scouting Departments.

Alex also volunteers at his alma maters, serving as a member of the Roxbury Latin Alumni Council and the Trinity College Long Walk Society Committee. Alex is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Boston Society.
 

 

John Ravalli
Managing Director, Porfolio Management, Glenmede 

John Ravalli is a Portfolio Manager in Glenmede’s Philadelphia office. In this role, he is responsible for providing investment advice, asset allocation and ongoing portfolio management for Glenmede’s entrepreneurial clients and multi-generational ultra-high-net-worth families. Mr. Ravalli partners with advisory, tax and wealth planning colleagues to understand client goals, provide tailored guidance and ensure clients’ wealth management objectives are fulfilled.

Prior to joining Glenmede, Mr. Ravalli spent over a decade at PNC Private Bank Hawthorn, where he served as both the Managing Director of Portfolio Strategy and a senior portfolio manager, directly managing and advising over $5 billion for wealthy families and large private foundations.  He played an integral role in developing Hawthorn’s investment process and ran the Thematic Strategy fund, while also managing a team of quantitative professionals focused on portfolio strategy, risk management and quantitative analysis.  Before joining PNC, Mr. Ravalli was a Portfolio Manager for Moore Capital Management, LLC, where he oversaw a team responsible for a market-neutral strategy. Previously, he served as Chief Risk Officer and Head of Portfolio Strategy for Fiduciary Trust International, where he also served as Head of Quantitative Strategies for Franklin Templeton Institutional FGA. His experience includes working internationally for PaineWebber Incorporated and roles as Controller, Portfolio Manager and Risk Manager for Mitchell Hutchins (now UBS Asset Management). He has published several articles and presented at conferences both locally and internationally. 

Mr. Ravalli earned a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John’s University and his Masters of Business Administration from Rutgers University. He holds a certificate in risk management from New York University. 

Mr. Ravalli serves on the Board of NeuTigers, LLC.
 

 

Andy Rothman
Investment Strategist, Matthews Asia 

Andy Rothman is an Investment Strategist at Matthews Asia. He is principally responsible for developing research focused on China’s ongoing economic and political developments while also complementing the broader investment team with in-depth analysis on Asia. In addition, Andy plays a key role in communicating to clients and the media the firm’s perspectives and latest insights into China and the greater Asia region. Prior to joining Matthews Asia in 2014, Andy spent 14 years as CLSA’s China macroeconomic strategist where he conducted analysis into China and delivered his insights to their clients. Previously, Andy spent 17 years in the U.S. Foreign Service, with a diplomatic career focused on China, including as head of the macroeconomics and domestic policy office of the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. In total, Andy has lived and worked in China for more than 20 years. He earned an M.A. in public administration from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and a B.A. from Colgate University. He is a proficient Mandarin speaker.
 

 

Daryl Shevin, CFA
Principal, Chief Financial Officer, 13th Floor Investments

As Principal and Chief Financial Officer of 13th Floor Investments, Daryl A. Shevin, CFA, oversees all financial, operational, and accounting aspects of the firm and its investment vehicles, inclusive of all debt and equity structures. Mr. Shevin is responsible for ensuring that 13th Floor’s stakeholders see timely returns on their investments as well as building and fostering the firm’s strong financing relationships. Mr. Shevin has over 23 years of experience in the finance and investment industry.

Under Mr. Shevin’s leadership, 13th Floor has been successful in the closing of over $780 million dollars of debt and $740 million dollars in equity across 50+ vehicles. Mr. Shevin also leads 13th Floor’s Investor Relations team, which administers and reports on the firm’s $3.1 billion portfolio in real estate asset value. Among Mr. Shevin’s major achievements include securing $95 million in financing for the Harbour, a twin-tower, 425-unit luxury waterfront condominium located in North Miami Beach; the closing of a $76 million construction loan for 1010 Brickell, a 387-unit luxury residential tower; and facilitating a $50 million loan for Motion at Dadeland, a 294-unit, high-end, transit-oriented rental community in South Miami.

Prior to joining 13th Floor in 2010, Mr. Shevin was the CFO/COO of White Barron Asset Management, an asset manager focusing on the asset-backed bond market. Mr. Shevin began his career as a fund administration supervisor at Kaufman, Rossin & Co. and also served as the head fund accounting manager at United Capital Asset Management.

Mr. Shevin was named CFO of the year in 2012 by the South Florida Business Journal. He has been a CFA charter holder since 2006 and received his bachelor’s degree from the Warrington School of Business at the University of Florida.
 

 

Jeffrey Shulman
Managing Director, CIBC

Jeffrey I. Shulman has over 33 years of banking experience, all in Florida, including 30 years in real estate finance, and has been widely-recognized for originating many market-leading transactions during that time.  

Prior to joining CIBC Bank USA to open and manage the Florida Real Estate Banking office in September, 2017, Mr. Shulman was Executive Vice President and South Florida Real Estate Banking Market Manager for Regions Bank for 14 years, where he managed offices in Coral Gables and West Palm Beach.  

Prior to joining Regions in 2003, Mr. Shulman was Senior Vice President and South Florida Regional Manager of Real Estate Finance for SunTrust for almost 13 years, managing offices in Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. He started his banking career with corporate predecessors of Bank of America. 

Mr. Shulman received his MBA in Finance from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Shulman is immediate Past President of the Board of Trustees of the Arthur I. Meyer Jewish Academy, a kindergarten through eighth grade private school located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Tim Duffy
General Counsel and Strategic Partnership Manager

Tim is the General Counsel and Strategic Partnership Manager at Family Office Exchange (FOX).  In his role as General Counsel, Tim maintains FOX’s compliance with all existing laws, drafting legal agreements, overseeing outside counsel, and maintaining FOX’s intellectual property rights.  As Manager of Strategic Partnerships, Tim manages select relationships by developing and implementing long-term partner agreements, fulfilling partner business priorities, and creating "value-added" opportunities for FOX and these strategic partners.  Tim also works closely with our Director of Private Investments, leading our DIN Resource Partner initiative that provides increased education and support to actively involved members in the Direct Investment Network.

Tim has more than 15 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, and M&A as both an attorney and entrepreneur.  For over a decade, Tim has been involved in the cannabis industry, where he successfully built and sold a vertically integrated medical marijuana company.  As an attorney, he has advised clients on over $200 million in M&A transactions and investment initiatives across a broad range of industries.

Tim attended The Ohio State University, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science and was a three-time Big Ten Scholar-Athlete and division one men's lacrosse player.  After college, Tim coached Ireland’s Men’s National Lacrosse team in the 2015 and 2017 World Lacrosse Games.  Tim also holds a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
 

Gabrielle (Gaby) Griffin
Market Leader for Business Owners and Family Office Executives

Gaby Griffin is the Market Leader for Business Owners and Family Office Executives at Family Office Exchange (FOX). In her role, Gaby leads the overall Family Office Council experience and manages multiple councils. She provides members the opportunities to learn from and share ideas with highly accomplished and hard-to-find peers in a confidential environment. No matter what hat she’s wearing, her goal is simple – to create value for families by providing objective guidance and timely relevant information in order to make informed decisions. Gaby takes a very personalized approach to her relationship management practice and has built client and advisory relationships that span over two decades. She also serves as a member of the FOX leadership team.

​Gaby brings 25 years of wealth management, corporate banking, investment, and strategic advisory experience to FOX and its members. Gaby recently joined FOX from Capital Group. Prior to that, she held leadership positions at LaSalle Bank N.A. advising business owners, their families and family offices, as well as working directly with ultra-high net worth clients as a relationship manager for Abbot Downing. Gaby has been involved with the FOX community for over 20 years.

Gaby earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She obtained a Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) designation at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2013.  Gaby is a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council (CEPC), Women Investment Professionals, 100 Women in Finance, DyMynd Angels, and Urban Land Institute (ULI). Gaby served on the Board of Trustees for Victory Gardens Theater from 2012-2020. Additionally, she has held several other positions in the non-profit sector.

 

Peter Moustakerski
CEO

Peter Moustakerski is CEO of Family Office Exchange (FOX), the premier resource for families managing private enterprises and family wealth across generations. For over 30 years, FOX has been recognized as the industry’s most exclusive, innovative, and influential community for peer networking and learning, and has provided independent insights, expert guidance, and practical solutions to complex problems related to family transitions and family wealth.

Peter has spent more than 25 years as a C-level strategist and executive across a variety of industries, including wealth management, capital markets, and technology. He is a former family office executive and FOX member, management consultant, and entrepreneur. He has served as a strategy, innovation, and growth leader for a number of private and public companies and founded two start-ups in New York City and China.

Prior to joining FOX, Peter served as Chief Operating Officer of the family office of the founder of Bridgewater Associates, where he worked closely with the principal family members to envision and oversee the redesign of the family office strategy and day-to-day operations to better serve the evolving needs of the family. Before that, Peter was a management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, advising many of the world’s top C-suite leaders, and a strategy executive at UBS, leading all growth and transformation initiatives for the bank’s wealth management organization.

Most recently, Peter was Chief Strategy Officer of News America Marketing, a former News Corp. subsidiary, where he built and led the Corporate Strategy and M&A function and led the company’s successful carve-out and sale to a private equity sponsor. In addition, for more than 20 years, Peter has been a contributing writer and researcher with The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), and has led many qualitative and quantitative research projects, and written a number of influential white papers for the EIU, NBER, and other research institutions and media publications.

Peter holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University in China, and is proficient in Mandarin, Russian, and Bulgarian.

 

Scott Muench
Market Leader, Financial Families

Scott Muench is the market leader for Financial Families at Family Office Exchange (FOX).  In his role, Scott leads all aspects of the Financial Family market at FOX, defined as those families who no longer own an operating company and family office executives serving these families.  In addition, Scott is also responsible for leading, coaching, and managing our Relationship Management team and overseeing the overall member experience.

Scott has over twenty-five years as an institutional and ultra-high net worth investment professional, including working at  SEI Investments as head of the Defined Contribution national market, working with plan sponsors on target-date fund and core investment strategy implementation. This experience working with investment committees and professionals enhanced a strong background in asset allocation, capital markets, and strategic and tactical instruments. Scott also worked at Northern Trust Asset Management as a managing director for the eastern region of the United States, working with large complex corporate institutions and asset owners, including foundations, endowments, pension plans, and ultra-high-net-worth families. Scott's experience at Northern Trust also includes the Global Family and Private Investment Office Group. He led a team of investment relationship managers working with families, family offices, and investment consultants to implement strategies to meet personal financial goals. In addition, Scott managed the team working with 400+ family offices to achieve tax efficiency and superior risk-adjusted returns.

Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University. He earned his Master's in Business Administration with concentrations in finance and accounting from DePaul's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

 

Matt Murphy
Director, Business Development

Matthew Murphy is the Director of Business Development at Family Office Exchange (FOX). In this role, he is responsible for leading the initiative in identifying prospective family and advisor members; assessing their needs and priorities to ensure a deep understanding of the benefits of FOX membership.

Matthew has 30 years of client service/business development experience within the wealth and asset management field, most recently as a Vice President, Institutional for Astor Investment Management.  Previously, Matthew served as a Senior Consultant for HFR Asset Management.  Additionally, he has held various client service/business development positions including Partner/Director-Brinson Partners/UBS Global Asset Management and Founding Partner-Xenon Capital Management, a managed futures CTA.  Matthew has a deep understanding and experience in the areas of portfolio diversification and risk management.  He also has extensive knowledge related to the due diligence necessary in evaluating potential hedge fund and private equity investments.

Matthew holds a B.A. from Columbia University.  He received a M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a M.S. (Finance) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and was awarded a Graduate Fellowship from the Connecticut General Assembly as a quantitative analyst within the Office of Fiscal Analysis. 
 

Miguel López de Silanes Gómez
Market Leader International

Miguel López de Silanes Gómez is the Managing Director for International Members at Family Office Exchange (FOX). He is responsible for delivering FOX services to current members, and actively works to expand the network in Europe and Latin America.

Miguel has most recently been director of the family office for one of Europe’s leading real estate families, with specific responsibility for designing and implementing the family’s investment strategy and for providing owner education to the younger family members. 

Previously, he worked at UBS Wealth Management in New York, Chile, and other locations in Latin America. He began his career at Bain & Company as an Associate Consultant in London and Madrid. He has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) in Madrid.

 

Jonathan S. Tunner
Director, Private Investment Opportunities

Jonathan Tunner is the Director of Private Investment Opportunities at Family Office Exchange (FOX). Jonathan serves as a relationship manager and thought leader helping to develop and execute strategies designed to meet the needs of families across all markets active in direct investing. In his role, Jonathan builds and supports the strategic network of families who desire to share their industry expertise and to collaborate with others to acquire interests in companies and/or real estate. In addition, he oversees the Direct Investing Network (DIN), is a member of the FOX leadership team, and is the Co-Chair of the Owner/Operator Council. 

Jonathan brings over twenty-five years of broad business, direct investment, and family office experience to FOX and its members. Jonathan started his career in the international coal industry working in the US, Latin America and Europe for Massey Energy. Jonathan transitioned to oversee daily management of a complex, inter-generational family office. As CFO, Jonathan had senior financial, wealth, and management responsibilities with particular emphasis on sourcing, structuring, funding, overseeing and exiting privately held businesses and real estate interests across a spectrum of sizes and industries. Jonathan also held extensive operational and executive duties within portfolio companies including CEO, CFO and COO, while also serving on numerous boards. Most recently, Jonathan was CEO of Constellation Partners; a business performance consultancy providing strategy, leadership and business intelligence related services to drive enterprise value in lower and middle market businesses.  

Jonathan earned a B.A. from Hampden-Sydney College majoring in Spanish and minoring in Economics and History, and an M.B.A. majoring in Finance from the University of Richmond.
