Eric Almquist
Advisory Partner, Bain & Company

Eric Almquist is an Advisory Partner in Bain & Company’s Boston office and a member of the firm’s global Customer practice.  He has led assignments in telecommunication, financial services, retail, and other industries. His consulting career spans 41 years.

Prior to joining Bain, Eric had a long career at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman), where he led the firm’s Customer Strategy Team and was the founder of one of the first comprehensive marketing science capabilities in the consulting industry.  

Eric has contributed to such publications as the Harvard Business Review on Marketing, Harvard Business Review, Marketing Management, and other publications. His current research focuses on The Elements of Value (HBR, September 2016) and The B2B Elements of Value (HBR, March 2018).

Eric earned a B.A. from Stanford University and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in anthropology from Boston University.  He was the recipient of a Social Science Research Council Foreign Area Fellowship and is a past Trustee of the Marketing Science Institute.


Kelly Lora Ewart
VP of Strategic Relationships, PURE Insurance

Kelly Ewart is the VP of Strategic Relationships at PURE Insurance. Her career spans over 20 years and has been primarily focused on specialized property & casualty  insurance needs of high net worth individuals and families. Kelly joined PURE in 2018 after spending more than a decade at Chubb and several years at W.R. Berkley. She leads strategic relationships with influencers providing risk management and holistic wealth strategy.  She also serves on the Family Office Exchange Thought Leaders Council, The UHNW Institute Leaders Council and as the Executive Sponsor for PURE’s LatinX Employee Resource Group. 

 

Justine Fedak
Founder, Corporate Hippies, LLC

Justine Fedak is a self-declared Corporate Hippie. She is a transformational socially-conscious marketing
executive with deep experience in brand management and marketing operations. She is the Chief Brand
Strategist with Pollara Strategic Insights and Co-Founder (Star Jones) of Instant Impact Group, a diversity
and marketing consulting firm. She was most recently Global Head of Social Media and Sponsorships
Marketing for BMO Financial Group.

After joining BMO in 1992 as a media relations assistant, Justine held many senior roles at the company
in Canada and the US, within Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Investment Banking,
Communications and Corporate Marketing. In 1999, Justine transferred to Chicago to lead M&A due
diligence for US wealth management and create a US brand strategy. She re-patriated to Canada to
create a North American Corporate Sponsorships and Events team and build a client-focused
partnership portfolio, negotiating some of the largest sports sponsorship deals with the NBA, NHL, MLS
and MLB (North America) that attracted younger and more diverse customers. In 2007, she was named
US CMO and led the re-vitalization of the Harris Bank brand, uniting all the community banking under a
central marketing focus. She also led the strategy and execution of the historical re-branding of Harris
Bank to BMO. As a member of the executive management team, she was also accountable for the client
experience and marketing communications integration of the bank’s largest M&A deal, the purchase of
Marshall & Isley. She remained in the US leading Brand, Advertising and Marketing for North America
and developed an aligned north-south creative marketing strategy that remains strong today.
Justine is a very active member of her community and industry. She is a member of the Board of
Directors of The Magnificent Mile Association, the Chicago Police Foundation and is on the Executive
Committee of the Chicago Sports Commission. She is Commissioner of the SSA City of Chicago
(Greektown), a board member of Chicago-Toronto Sisters Cities International, and past Chair of the City
of Chicago Municipal Marketing Advisory Counsel, as well as past member of many other prominent
boards.

 

Brenda Schnede Grusecki
Vice President, James P. and Brenda S. Grusecki Family Foundation 

Brenda is an English teacher who retired from Oak Park and River Forest High School where she chaired the English Division for seventeen years.  Subsequently, she worked as instructor and supervisor of student teachers at Northwestern University and Dominican University. As well as being active in various educational initiatives during her teaching years, such as co-directing the Favorite Poem Project Institute at Northwestern, she was a dedicated teacher in the gifted program (Center for Talent Development) for middle and high school students at Northwestern.  As a Board Director of the Family Service and Mental Health Center of Oak Park and River Forest (re-named Thrive Counseling Center), Brenda served in several capacities including officer positions, gala co-chair, and co-chair of a successful endowment campaign.  In 2009,  she received the Rita Johnson Humanitarian Award from the organization.  Currently, Brenda is a member and past President of the Board of Directors of Remy Bumppo Theatre Company and a member of the Emeritus Board of Landmarks Illinois. With her husband, she administers a family foundation that funds education, the arts, and housing and social service initiatives and programs. The Gruseckis enjoy and support the many cultural opportunities that Chicago offers.


James P. Grusecki
Chairman, Northern Builders, Inc.

James P. Grusecki is Chairman of Northern Builders, Inc. As one of the firm's two managing principals, Jim is responsible for strategic planning and development of Northern's business opportunities. Jim’s tenure at Northern spans 50 years and has been instrumental in the company's growth.  Jim is an active member of SIOR, AIRE, and is on the Board of Advisors of Roosevelt University's Chicago School of Real Estate. Jim currently serves as Director of the First National Bank of Brookfield  and is a Governing Member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as well as a Trustee of Theatre Aspen. Jim is former board president of Victory Gardens Theater as well as a former director of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital. Mr. Grusecki holds a Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration and Economics from University of St. Thomas in St. Paul Minnesota.  With his wife Brenda, Jim administers their family foundation that funds education, the arts, and housing and social service initiatives and programs. When not in his office, Jim can be found fly fishing on the Roaring Fork River.
 

Mae Hong
Vice President, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors

Mae leads the Chicago office of RPA and is responsible for serving individual donors, families, foundations and corporations throughout the Midwest. In addition to providing high-touch, custom services to help clients manage their charitable giving, develop effective strategies, and discover joy in their philanthropic journey, she is also a frequent speaker and writer about issues, trends, and ideas in philanthropy. 

With nearly 25 years of nonprofit and philanthropy experience, she previously served as Program Director at the Field Foundation of Illinois. Her funding expertise includes children, youth and families; poverty alleviation; women and girls’ issues; and advocacy. She has also been actively involved in RPA’s leadership on the issue of diversity in philanthropy. Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, she worked in the publishing industry for several years.
Mae currently serve as the board chair of Illinois Humanities and is on the board of the Council on Foundations.  Other leadership affiliations include the Advisory Board of the Lake Institute on Faith and Giving at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University, and Leadership Council of the Dorothy A. Johnson Center at Grand Valley State University. 

She completed her graduate work in social service administration at The University of Chicago, and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. 

Mae is a serious shoe collector.

 

Priscilla Kersten
President, Square One Foundation

Priscilla is the President of Square One Foundation, a private family foundation focused on strengthening our democratic institutions and social and economic opportunity for all Chicagoans. She currently serves on the boards of The Chicago Children’s Choir, Chicago Public Media, Debate It Forward and High Jump and serves on the advisory council of UChicago Charter School. She is immediate past Chair of the UChicago Women’s Board and was appointed by President Obama to serve on the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.

Priscilla has a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.  Priscilla and her husband Steven have three children, Sam, Benjamin and Allie. 

Besides trying to figure out how to spend more time with her adult children, Priscilla enjoys yoga, golf, tennis, weight training and hiking, is an avid reader and life-long learner.  She enjoys cooking, eating and a great glass of wine (or two).

 

Carin Ojala
Director of Recruiting + Professional Development, Warner Norcross + Judd LLP

Carin Ojala joined Warner Norcross + Judd LLP as an attorney and practiced corporate and commercial law for over eleven years. She eventually transitioned to her current role as Director of Recruiting + Professional Development where she oversees attorney recruiting efforts across all firm offices. She is also responsible for the training, mentoring and evaluation of the firm’s non-partner attorneys, including senior counsel, associates and staff attorneys. Carin has a passion for diversity, equity and inclusion, and she is a leader in the firm’s DEI Action Committee.


Luck K. Park
Partner, Perkins Coie

Lucy K. Park, Partner, Perkins Coie, helps clients protect their wealth, minimize taxes and avoid family disputes when possible, in her trust & estate planning practice. She counsels high net worth individuals, traditional and non-traditional families, family offices and family-owned businesses on wealth preservation and transfer, family investment vehicles, charitable giving and multigenerational and business succession planning.

Lucy advises fiduciaries and beneficiaries on the administration of trusts and decedents' estates, probate and pre and post-mortem planning. She also assists clients with premarital and pre and post-divorce planning, asset protection and international tax planning. Lucy works with individuals and tax-exempt organizations to address a wide range of tax issues impacting charitable giving and the formation and administration of public charities, private foundations and donor advised funds.

Lucy is a proud member of the Perkins Coie Strategic Diversity Committee as well as the Co-Chair of the Perkins Coie Women’s Forum.

 

Haley M. Rives, CFA
Director, Asset Consulting Group

Haley is a Senior Consultant with significant experience working with private families and institutional entities. She collaborates with our clients to develop a well-defined policy, design and construct diversified portfolios, conduct investment manager and strategy due diligence, and provide evaluation of performance versus objectives.

Haley is the current Chair of ACG’s Investment Committee, which establishes the framework for the firm's investment philosophy and oversees the internal processes used to make investment recommendations to clients. She is also a member of our firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, which coordinates with senior leadership to establish, and execute on, strategic initiatives designed to enhance diversity and inclusion within our firm, our industry and our community.

Prior to joining ACG, Haley was an investment analyst at Moneta Group, where she was responsible for due diligence across traditional markets. Haley holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis and the CFA Institute. She is also a member of the St. Louis Women in Investments Network.

 

Robert Sheahan
Vice President, Head of Consulting, BNY Mellon | Pershing

Rob Sheahan is a Vice President for Advisor Solutions at BNY Mellon | Pershing. Additionally, Rob is the Head of Consulting for the Platform Strategy team at Advisor Solutions. The consulting team works with advisory clients to develop, implement and track the success of business and technology strategies.  Rob joined Pershing in 2014 as a Senior Product Manager for BNY Mellon’s Managed Account platform focusing on the Strategic Proposal System, financial planning integrations and Morningstar data.

Prior to Pershing, Rob worked within the independent advisor market for 20 years, most recently served as a relationship manager at Mill Creek Capital Advisors, where he assisted in advising UHNW clients on investment policy, developing and implementing investment and financial planning recommendations.  

Rob earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Fordham University. 
 

Amy E. Szostak
Director of Family Education and Governance, Northern Trust

Amy E. Szostak is the Director, Family Education and Governance at Northern Trust. With a line of sight into nearly 25% of the Forbes 400 families, Amy has over 20 years’ experience with helping families successfully navigate sustainable wealth transfer.  She works with her clients to design governance structures that allow for open communication, develop joint decision making skills and incorporate financial education to create a shared vision for their future.  This framework empowers her clients to successfully manage their wealth today and cultivate the stewardship skills needed to flourish long into the future. 

Amy graduated from Chicago-Kent College of law with a Certification in International and Comparative Law. She was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1997.

Prior to her current role, Amy served as the Chief Fiduciary Officer for the Global Family and Private Investment Office Group where she oversaw the fiduciary client base in the US, Cayman Islands and Bailiwick of Guernsey. 

She is an attorney and a Senior Vice President who is an active member of STEP (Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners), a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA), a Certified Investment Management Analysis (CIMA), and obtained her STEP Certification in International Trust Management (2017).

Amy is the prior President of the fundraising organization for her local school and on the Advisory Board of a local theater and educational organization.

 

Robert C. Wolcott
Co-Founder & Chairman, TWIN Global; Adjunct Professor of Innovation, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern, Booth School of Business, University of Chicago

Robert C. Wolcott is Adjunct Professor of Innovation at the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago, and Adjunct Professor of Executive Education at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. From 2010 – 2019, he served as Clinical Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Kellogg. He won Teacher of the Year from Kellogg’s EMBA program in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017. Robert is also a managing partner with Clareo, a foresight and growth strategy consultancy serving global corporations.

Robert is Co-Founder and Chairman of The World Innovation Network (TWIN; www.twinglobal.org), a global community of over 2,000 innovation and growth leaders from over 30 countries and across sectors (business, government, the arts, academia, defense). TWIN gathers 400 delegates for TWIN Global each year in Chicago to explore the future. Robert’s work appears in MIT Sloan Management Review, strategy+business, The Harvard Business Review (online), The Wall Street Journal, Advertising Age, Business Week, The Financial Times (European Edition), The New York Times and numerous overseas publications.

Blunt-Nickel Professor in Philanthropy, Assistant Professor of Philanthropy, The American College of Financial Services 

Dien Yuen, JD/LLM, CAP®, AEP®, is the Blunt-Nickel Professor in Philanthropy, Assistant Professor of Philanthropy, The American College of Financial Services, where she teaches in the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP)® program. 

Prior to joining the College, Dien served as Managing Director and Fiduciary Advisor for a wealth management firm assisting high net-worth individuals, families, and charitable institutions. Her former positions include Chief Philanthropy Officer at Give2Asia, Vice President and Senior Trust Officer at U.S. Trust, Executive Director of the IIT Bombay Heritage Fund, Vice President of the Asian Pacific Fund, and Planned Giving Director of the American Cancer Society. She is also the founder of a boutique social impact research and advisory firm serving clients in the U.S. and Asia.

Dien serves on the boards of the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA), The 1990 Institute, and Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation. She is on the advisory boards of GlobalSF, Asia Society of Northern California, Philanthropic Ventures Foundation, and Arowana Impact Capital Group. 

Dien holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation from The American College of Financial Services and the AEP® designation from NAEPC. Mindy Kalinowski Earley, CMP, CFBA 
Chief Learning Officer, FOX Family Learning CenterTM 

Mindy Earley is Chief Learning Officer at Family Office Exchange (FOX). In her role, she works to foster integrated learning programs for enterprise families and is responsible for developing the family learning community. She also provides support to the Family Learning and Experience Council and FOX Family Learning Network (FLN). Mindy is inspired by helping people learn, grow, and discover the way that they will make personal and productive contributions by using their strengths and talents.  

Mindy has held various roles in small and large family offices and has been responsible for creating and stewarding professional learning networks in support of human and intellectual capital. She has designed learning experiences that increase the knowledge base and enhance the life path of individuals while providing personalized support and coaching to help them meet their goals. As a Certified Meeting Professional with a certificate in Family Business Advising, she enjoys helping families and rising generation members navigate the unique world of enterprise family and family relationships by understanding that responsibility and intention pave a path to personal achievement and satisfaction. 


Ruth Easterling 
Managing Director, Member Services 

Ruth Easterling is Managing Director at Member Services for Family Office Exchange (FOX). In her role, she works with family and advisor members to understand their objectives and provides guidance to help address their unique needs through the resources available at FOX. Ruth also moderates the Private Trust Company Network and works with the team at FOX to develop programming and insights for the Network. Ruth has held multiple roles at FOX including leading FOX member services, supervising the delivery of learning programs, and overseeing marketing to drive the redesign and brand initiatives that differentiate FOX today. 

Prior to joining FOX, Ruth worked with the professional services firm Smith, Bucklin & Associates, which provides management and consulting services to more than 180 associations. She served as executive director to professional associations ranging in size from 300 to 4,000 members, re-engineering membership structures and planning processes to better enable organizations to maximize their potential through efficient governance structures and member participation. In addition, Ruth often consulted with international and national organizations on strategic planning and governance design.  

Ruth holds a B.A. degree in Management and Leadership from Judson College. 

 

Cassie Ehrhart
Director of Program Design and Delivery 

Cassie Ehrhart is the Director of Program Design and Delivery at Family Office Exchange (FOX). She brings to her a role a background in association management, having served at a large association management company and a standalone association that served members in the middle market M&A industry. As the Director of Program Design at FOX, Cassie works with internal FOX subject matter experts and relationship managers, as well as external industry experts, to create, develop, and execute FOX learning programs such as Forums, Workshops, and Webcasts.

Prior to joining FOX, Cassie worked at the Association for Corporate Growth, a global middle market M&A association serving more than 12,000 members. In that role, she led the programming for ACG’s annual international and North American conferences in Amsterdam, London, San Diego, and Orlando, as well as the association’s webinar program and GrowthTV channel. Earlier in her career, she served at Chicago-based association management company Smithbucklin, spearheading the education for an annual 2,000-attendee health care conference that featured more than 100 educational sessions over 5 days. 

Cassie earned her B.A. in journalism at Indiana University, Bloomington in Bloomington, Indiana.  


Sara Hamilton 
Founder and CEO  

Sara Hamilton is Founder and CEO of Family Office Exchange (FOX). Sara is a recognized visionary in the private wealth community. While a trust officer at Harris Bank in Chicago in the late 1980s, Sara witnessed the emergence of family wealth management as an industry. Hundreds of U.S. families became centi-millionaires overnight through leveraged buyouts that spawned private financial offices commonly called family offices, to manage family assets and educate wealth owners. Sara was the first professional to recognize family offices as a complex market segment in wealth management. 

Sara founded the Family Office Exchange (FOX) in 1989 as a peer network for family office executives. Within 10 years, FOX could see that families needed help with their enterprise vision and managing financial transitions. As a result, FOX evolved into a strategist for family enterprises, a platform for sharing family wealth best practices, and an industry advocate for the importance of private capital in a global economy. 

Today, Sara provides strategic direction for FOX and leads the development of new programs and services supporting family enterprises, family office executives and wealth advisory firms in more than 20 countries. She was named one of the Top 50 Women in Wealth Management by Wealth Manager from 2010-2012 and 2019 Outstanding Thought Leader for Wealth Management by Family Wealth Report. 

Sara is the co-author of Family Legacy and Leadership: Preserving True Family Wealth in Challenging Times and serves on the executive education faculty of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where she is an adjunct faculty member for their Private Wealth Management course, offered twice per year in Chicago. She is on the founding boards for the Private Directors Association in Chicago and the Foundation for Gender Equality in New York. 

 

Glen W. Johnson
Chief Operating Officer 

Glen Johnson is Chief Operating Officer at Family Office Exchange (FOX). In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of the member experience, ensuring that each family member, family office executive, and trusted advisor has an unsurpassed experience partnering with FOX by providing unique industry knowledge and insights coupled with a safe and confidential environment where members can share best practices. In addition, Glen oversees the operations of FOX and is charged with establishing and executing systems to execute FOX’s strategic plan, promoting its vision and service-centric culture, and enabling the FOX team to work together to exceed our member’s expectations. 

Glen has over 30 years of experience working with family offices, business owners, and executives, first as an attorney and then as a wealth advisor, eventually founding Mirador Family Wealth Advisors – the multi-family office for Fifth Third Bank. He has worked with business owners and executives across all stages of their business life cycle including business succession.  Glen writes and speaks nationally focusing on family and business governance and the unique challenges faced during the sale and transition of closely held businesses.  

Glen earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Education from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and a Juris Doctorate degree from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, MI. 

 

Matthew Murphy 
Director, Business Development 

Matthew Murphy is the Director of Business Development at Family Office Exchange (FOX). In this role, he is responsible for leading the initiative in identifying prospective family and advisor members; assessing their needs and priorities to ensure a deep understanding of the benefits of FOX membership.  

Matthew has 30 years of client service/business development experience within the wealth and asset management field, most recently as a Vice President, Institutional for Astor Investment Management.  Previously, Matthew served as a Senior Consultant for HFR Asset Management.  Additionally, he has held various client service/business development positions including Partner/Director-Brinson Partners/UBS Global Asset Management and Founding Partner-Xenon Capital Management, a managed futures CTA.  Matthew has a deep understanding and experience in the areas of portfolio diversification and risk management.  He also has extensive knowledge related to the due diligence necessary in evaluating potential hedge fund and private equity investments.   

Matthew holds a B.A. from Columbia University.  He received a M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a M.S. (Finance) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and was awarded a Graduate Fellowship from the Connecticut General Assembly as a quantitative analyst within the Office of Fiscal Analysis. 

 

Jeff Strese
Family Learning & Leadership Consultant

Jeff Strese is the Family Learning & Leadership Consultant at Family Office Exchange (FOX). As a consultant, Jeff has focused on multi-generational family enterprises, corporations, and mission-driven nonprofit organizations. He has more than 25 years of experience working across industries in the areas of leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and family dynamics. He holds certifications in family wealth and family business advising (CFWA, CFBA).

Jeff is passionate about helping family businesses and organizations create clarity out of the complex and inspiring leaders from all backgrounds to develop and master critical skills like coaching, communication and emotional intelligence. He has developed innovative programs to guide next-generation leaders to reach their full potential in a fast-paced, global economy.

Jeff has served as Chief Talent and Learning Officer (CTLO) at Tolleson Wealth Management, a multi-family office serving client families across the country. Prior to his role at Tolleson, Jeff served as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Southern Methodist University (SMU).


Joe Teller 
Managing Director, Marketing & Communications 

Joe Teller is a Managing Director of Marketing & Communications at Family Office Exchange (FOX). In his role, he is responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s overall marketing strategy while also overseeing all marketing tactical operations, including the firm’s membership communications and events. Joe leads communication and all key messaging strategies in support of learning programs, sales, member support and public relations/media outreach. 

Joe brings over twenty-five years of client experience, sales, brand identity and wealth management marketing experience to FOX and its members. He held key leadership positions in the Marketing and Strategy Group at BMO (Bank of Montreal). He developed and oversaw enterprise marketing initiatives that maximized and leveraged marketing and sales through brand alignment and activation, and specialized events. 

Joe earned a B.A. majoring in Accounting and an M.B.A. majoring in Marketing and International Business from Indiana University and the University of Notre Dame, respectively. Joe currently is the board chair of Casa Central, the largest Hispanic social service agency in the Midwest.  He has held several board positions on Chicago area community organizations and is a 30-year supporter of the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago.

 

David Toth
Managing Director 

David Toth is a Managing Director at Family Office Exchange (FOX) and is Market Leader for FOX’s Wealth Advisor members. In his role, he serves as Co-Chair for Multi-Family Office and Integrated Wealth Advisor Councils. He also Co-Chairs the Strategic Chief Investment Officer Council, a peer group for family office CIOs.  

David serves as relationship manager for select wealth advisors and families providing strategic guidance, access to essential research and offers key insights on issues of importance to them. He has authored, presented, and consulted on topics ranging from client experience and pricing strategies to talent management.  

He is as a member of the FOX leadership team, helping to develop and execute strategies designed to better meet member’s evolving needs. David also participates in the development of new research and thought leadership for FOX members.  

David brings over thirty years of wealth and investment management, marketing, and strategic consulting experience to FOX and its members. He held key leadership positions in the Asset Management Division at PNC Financial formulating and implementing growth strategies that helped to more than double the size of their wealth and ultra-high net worth businesses. 

David earned a B.B.A. majoring in Marketing and an M.B.A. majoring in Finance & Economics from University of Michigan and the University of Detroit/Mercy, respectively. In addition, David has completed Leadership and Executive Development programs at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.  

 

Scott Winget
Enterprise Market Leader

Scott Winget is the Enterprise Market Leader at Family Office Exchange (FOX). In his role, Scott serves as Co-Chair for Enterprise Councils and Executive Councils, where members can share experiences, ideas, and best practices with veteran peers in a confidential environment. Scott also serves as relationship manager for Enterprise Family members, in order to understand their unique needs and provide them with access to important research and objective guidance. He is as a member of the FOX leadership team, helping to develop and execute service strategies designed to meet the needs of his market segment, and also participates in new research and thought leadership meaningful to members.

Serving families for over 25 years in the areas or family office, wealth management and estate and tax planning, Scott brings significant experience to FOX and its members. Prior to joining FOX, Scott created and led multi-disciplinary and award-winning consulting groups that provided comprehensive family office services at both Cresset and Ascent Private Capital Management. Earlier, he was a senior wealth planner at Wells Fargo Family Wealth (later, Abbot Downing) and began his career as an income tax and estate planning specialist with Arthur Andersen and EY. Scott has participated in the FOX community for over 15 years.

Scott is a CPA and holds a J.D. from The Ohio State University, where he also earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a dual major in Accounting and Finance. He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council, Colorado Society of CPAs and the Colorado Bar Association. He has also held several securities and insurance licenses and served on the board of the Mountain Area Land Trust as Treasurer and head of the Finance Committee among other roles with non-profits.
