Curt Fintel, CFA, Director, Chief Investment Strategist, CTC | myCFO

Curt Fintel is the Chief Investment Strategist with CTC | myCFO, an integrated wealth management provider that serves ultra-affluent individuals, families and family offices across their tax, estate, investment, philanthropic, risk and family capital needs. 
 
Curt joined the organization in 1996 and has more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. Curt’s primary responsibilities include directing the strategic and tactical asset allocation advice and the integration of manager placement within asset allocations for clients. He also chairs CTC | myCFO’s Investment Committee, providing quantitative and qualitative analyses to assist the committee in making strategic investment policy decisions.
 
Prior to joining the organization, Curt worked as a computer consultant for Iowa State University’s College of Business. He previously served as CTC Consulting’s Director of Traditional Research with responsibility for overseeing the firm’s research and recommendations of traditional investment managers.
 

Matthew Fleissig, President, Pathstone Federal Street  

Prior to his role as President, Matthew served as a Managing Director at Pathstone Family Office.  Prior experiences include the role of Principal for Harris myCFO Investment Advisory Services and a Financial Planner at The Ayco Company, A Goldman Sachs Company.  Matt was a member of Harris Bank’s Outside Advisor Review Committee, a select group of 12 senior investment professionals, which directed manager due-diligence, search and selection for the bank’s $60 billion platform. He was also a member of Harris Bank’s Investment Management Committee, where policies for asset allocation, alternative investments, equity and fixed income managers and compliance are decided at the firm level.  At Ayco, Matt provided comprehensive financial counseling to Fortune 500 executives and high net worth individuals. Clients were advised on investment opportunities, complex tax issues, estate planning and benefits and compensation decisions. 
 
 

Svetlana M. Loshakov, CFA, Managing Director, Moreland Management Company

At Moreland Svetlana manages one of the investment portfolios and is engaged in every aspect of investment management.  She serves on advisory committees of several funds and represents Moreland at select industry groups and associations.
 
Svetlana holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering and Economics (Diploma with the Highest Honors) from Russian Academy of Oil & Gas, Moscow, Russia and a MBA from SMU, Dallas, TX, where she was a recipient of The Freedom Support Act Fellowship.  She has received her CFA designation in 2003.
 
 

William McDonough, Chief Executive, McDonough Innovation

William McDonough is a designer, a global leader in sustainable development, and Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Meta-Council on the Circular Economy. For more than 40 years, McDonough—through McDonough Innovation; William McDonough + Partners, Architects; and MBDC—has defined the principles sustainability. In 2002, McDonough and Michael Braungart co-authored Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things, a seminal text of the sustainability movement; this was followed byThe Upcycle: Beyond Sustainability—Designing for Abundance (2013). McDonough has received the Presidential Award for Sustainable Development (1996), the first U.S. EPA Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (2003), and the National Design Award (2004). In 2007, McDonough and Brad Pitt co-founded the Make It Right Foundation. In 2009, he and Braungart co-founded the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. In 2012, McDonough became the subject of Stanford University Libraries’ first Living Archive.
 

Mary Jo Palermo, Managing Director, Cambridge Associates

Mary Jo is a Managing Director and a member of the Private Client Practice at Cambridge Associates. Mary Jo oversees 4.5 billion of private client and endowment assets. Her engagement includes strategic and tactical asset allocation, manager selection, and investment program implementation.  In addition to working with U.S. and international clients, Mary Jo is a resource to the firm in Latin America-related matters and has sourced emerging markets managers with a focus on Latin America.  Mary Jo authored a firm research report, The Case for Diversified Emerging Markets Exposure, which was widely covered in industry publications. She has presented on the topics of emerging markets and asset allocation at various conferences including the firm’s Family, University and Foundation Roundtables, as well as conferences sponsored by Institutional Investor, 100 Women in Hedge Funds and a privately sponsored roundtable for twenty CIOs $1 billion plus  family offices in North America. Prior to Cambridge Associates, Mary Jo worked in capital markets and wealth management groups at J.P. Morgan in New York.

Peter Pauley, CIO & COO, Seven Valleys LLC

Peter Pauley is the CIO & COO of Seven Valleys LLC, a global single family office founded in 2015 to provide investment and administrative services to a Chinese family.  Based in New York City, he is responsible for developing asset allocation and investment strategy, selecting managers, structuring, and execution.  He also oversees the firm’s reporting, administration, and trust and estate services.  Before joining Seven Valleys, Peter was the CIO of CGWM, an independent RIA, and prior to that, he was an SVP at The Capital Group.  From 1999 to 2007, Peter was a portfolio manager, research analyst, and senior executive at two top performing RIAs.  In the 1990s, Peter worked in Bankers Trust’s Corporate Development Group, executing a number of significant deals, including the acquisition of Alex. Brown & Sons.  Peter began his career in financial management at American Express.   Peter earned a BA from Duke University, an MBA from Columbia Business School and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. 
 
 

Erik Schatzker, Anchor and Editor-at-Large, Bloomberg Television, Host of "Market Makers”

Erik Schatzker interviews the most important bankers and business people around the world for Bloomberg Television.Over two decades Schatzker has covered everything from technology to commodities in postings and on assignments around the world. Today his main focus is on Wall Street, and he speaks regularly with the most powerful executives in banking and top money managers. BlackRock's Larry Fink, Morgan Stanley's James Gorman, Carlyle Group's David Rubenstein and Citigroup's Michael Corbat are just a few of the many financial leaders he interviews. Schatzker also reports live from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and the Milken Global Conference in Los Angeles.
 
Prior to joining Bloomberg Television in 2007, Schatzker led Bloomberg's print coverage of financial services in the Americas. He began his career with the South Pacific Mail in Santiago, Chile and served as a correspondent in Santiago and Toronto for Knight-Ridder Financial/Bridge News before starting with Bloomberg as a technology reporter in 1998. Schatzker's past positions with Bloomberg include Toronto Bureau Chief and Senior Writer for Bloomberg Markets magazine.

Mr. Schuringa is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Yorkville Capital Management. Yorkville Capital Management, LLC, is a Registered Investment Advisor dedicated to researching and investing in master limited partnerships (MLPs).
 
Mr. Schuringa is a globally recognized authority on investing in U.S. energy infrastructure through the MLP structure and has developed several innovative and first-to-market MLP investment solutions. With over 25 years experience advising families of wealth, Karen Clark is responsible for running several FOX Peer Councils, which are the fastest growing part of the FOX service offering. Karen’s expertise includes creating and facilitating thoughtful strategies for clients including matters such as family governance, intergenerational wealth transfer, philanthropy, and creating successful successors. Karen’s past experience includes serving as a Director at Sandaire Limited. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. 
 
 

Charles B. Grace, III, Managing Director, Leader of FOX External Investment Strategies Network

Charles B. Grace, III is Managing Director at FOX. Charlie works on strategic planning projects for families and family offices as well as wealth management advisor clients. He has more than 20 years experience in the family office community advising high-net-worth families and has been quoted in various publications on the subject of private wealth management, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Worth Magazine. In addition to his responsibilities at FOX, Charlie has been active on the Board of the single family office Ashbridge, LLC since 1992 and in 2010 was named President. He is a Trustee and member of the Investment Committee of the non-profit Tuttle Fund, Inc. in New York City.

Amy Hart Clyne, Executive Director, Knowledge Center

Amy Hart Clyne is Executive Director of the Knowledge Center for Family Office Exchange (FOX), supporting the firm’s extensive global community of ultra-wealthy families and advisors. Her effort is concentrated on knowledge acquisition, development, management and distribution. Focused on transforming creative, best practice and innovative ideas into practical solutions, Amy collaborates with all of the teams within FOX to ensure that the firm’s collective learning is used to enhance existing member relationships, attract new members, and support the work of the consulting practice. Amy is also responsible for program design & development at FOX, including all forums, events and webinars. She is actively engaged in FOX strategic planning, relationship management, marketing and research planning, sales and training meetings, member events and workshops, and new product launch.
 
Leveraging over 25 years of extensive experience in private wealth management, Amy joined Family Office Exchange in 2012. Over the prior dozen years, she has worked as a consultant to some of the country’s leading private wealth management firms and private family foundations. Previously, Amy was appointed Global Marketing Director of The Chase Manhattan Private Bank for seven years. Prior to joining Chase, Amy worked in Marketing and Training at Bankers Trust Private Bank and previously served as a Portfolio Manager for Lehman Management Company, a subsidiary of Lehman Bros. Kuhn Loeb, for six years, in the high net worth individual area. 
 

Alexandre Monnier, President

Alexandre Monnier is President of Family Office Exchange (FOX), a global organization that helps wealthy families and their advisors master the unique challenges inherent to wealth ownership. FOX’s support includes networking opportunities, knowledge, advice and education on key topics such as managing wealth, family governance, legacy, succession and best practices for running family offices.

He joined FOX from PinnacleCare, a leader in private health advisory services, where he led the development of the business in the U.S. and in Europe. Earlier Alexandre ran Skyjet, Bombardier Aerospace’s private jet charter business, transforming the business from an emerging player to a leading private jet travel provider. Previously, he spent 10 years as a management consultant serving some of the most widely recognized firms in the U.S. and Europe on issues ranging from strategy to operational and organizational effectiveness. He started his career in finance with Societe Generale.
 

David Toth, Director of Advisor Research, Leader of FOX Strategic CIO Council

David Toth is the Director of Advisor Research at FOX.  In this capacity, he harnesses research to develop actionable insights and perform strategic analyses for family offices and wealth management advisor members.  Assignments include constructing a roadmap for a series of initiatives that assist family offices and Wealth advisors in building talent management strategies, optimizing team structure, elevating the client experience and achieving profitable growth.
 
David brings over thirty years of wealth & investment management, marketing and strategic consulting experience to FOX and its members. Over the past fourteen years he has held key leadership positions at PNC Financial’s Asset Management division formulating and implementing growth strategies that helped to more than double the size of their wealth and ultra-HNW businesses. David has played a lead role in the wealth industry through his work on client satisfaction/loyalty, improvements to both the client and advisor experience, pricing strategies, development of new investment products and approaches, and the launch of Wealth Insight® an award-winning blend of technology and advisor/client interaction.
