General Data Protection Regulation Information

Family Office Exchange (“FOX”) is committed to protecting your privacy.  We want to tell you how we use and protect your personal data. This includes informing you of your rights regarding your personal information that we hold.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable living person. FOX processes personal data for numerous purposes, and the means of collection, lawful basis of processing, use, disclosure, and retention periods for each purpose may differ. EU Data Subjects Rights

This section applies if you are an individual located in the European Union (“EU”) (“EU Data Subject”). For these purposes, reference to the EU also includes the European Economic Area countries of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and, where applicable, Switzerland.

Rights to Access and Control Your Personal Data

Subject to applicable law, EU Data Subjects have the following rights in relation to their Personal Data:

Access to personal data

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us at the following address at dataprivacy@familyoffice.com

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. 

Amendment of personal data

To update personal data submitted to us, you may email us at dataprivacy@familyoffice.com or, where appropriate, contact us via the relevant website registration page or by amending the personal details held on relevant applications with which you registered.
When practically possible, once we are informed that any personal data processed by us is no longer accurate, we will make corrections (where appropriate) based on your updated information.

Withdrawal of consent

Where we process personal data based on consent, individuals have a right to withdraw consent at any time.  To withdraw consent to our processing of your personal data please email us at dataprivacy@familyoffice.com or, to stop receiving an email from a FOX marketing list, please click on the unsubscribe link in the relevant email received from us.  

Right to erasure 

You may ask us to delete or remove your Personal Data and we will do so in some circumstances, such as where we no longer need it (we may not delete your data when other interests outweigh your right to deletion). If we have shared your data with others, we will tell them about the erasure where possible. If you ask us, where possible and lawful to do so, we will also tell you with whom we shared your Personal Data so that you can contact them directly. 

Right to restrict processing 

You may ask us to restrict or ‘block’ the processing of your Personal Data in certain circumstances, such as where you contest the accuracy of that Personal Data or object to us processing it. We will tell you before we lift any restriction on processing. If we have shared your Personal Data with others, we will tell them about the restriction where possible. If you ask us, where possible and lawful to do so, we will also tell you with whom we shared your Personal Data so that you can contact them directly.

Right to data portabilit

Effective May 25, 2018, you have the right to obtain your Personal Data from us that you consented to give us or that is necessary to perform a contract with you. We will give you your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You may reuse it elsewhere.

Other data subject rights

This privacy statement is intended to provide information about what personal data we collect about you and how it is used.  As well as rights of access and amendment referred to above, individuals may have other rights in relation to the personal data we hold, such as a right to erasure/deletion, to restrict or object to our processing of personal data and the right to data portability.
