Vice President of Finance

This position is responsible for leadership and oversight of the RDV Corporation Accounting Group with an emphasis on financial reporting, controls, and accounting processes. The individual will also provide strategic financial input and leadership on operational matters affecting the Company's three operating components: Private Equity Investments, Services, and Philanthropy. This position will work closely with the Director of Investment Compliance and Reporting to ensure reporting is accurate and timely and that internal controls over investment processes are adequate and functioning as designed; reports to the Vice President/CFO. Key responsibilities include: • Strong understanding of the Company’s portfolio management, general ledger, and integrated reporting systems to ensure integrity of transactions and data in a multi-layered ownership environment. • Oversee and work closely with Investments staff to ensure reports and processes are accurate and timely and internal controls over investment processes are adequate and functioning as designed. • Primary responsibility for oversight of development and review of all reports prepared by the accounting department. Will also be actively involved in development, preparation, analysis, and review of standard and ad hoc financial and investment reports for multiple entities. • Oversee the two Accounting Group sub-groups – Investment Accounting and Financial Services. Supervise two Controllers and provide leadership and development for the Accounting Group. This is a hands-on leadership position with an active and supervisory role in a variety of functions including review and approval of daily cash management and operating account disbursements, preparing investment allocations to entities, etc. • Key member of cross-functional teams responsible for the coordination and implementation of new technology-related tools. • Monitor existing internal controls and work with outside accounting firm to perform periodic risk assessments and internal controls testing. • Oversee relationships with bankers regarding managed cash and lines of credit. Oversee the strategy of managed cash to maximize return on investment. • Provide input and generate ideas regarding structuring of entities, trusts and transactions in order to assist in efficient wealth transfer, accounting structure and operational effectiveness. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA required. • Minimum of fifteen years experience in a combination of public accounting and industry with an emphasis on financial statement preparation and general accounting processes – at least five of those years in a senior-level management position. • Proven leadership and supervisory skills. • Experience in leveraging technology required. • Strong verbal and written communications skills. Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills. • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills. • Family office experience a plus.
