The Cox Family Office is hiring a Tax Analyst to support the Tax team. The Tax Analyst will be based in Atlanta and responsible for managing and contributing to various tax projects serving Cox Family members, trusts, and associated entities. Vital to the role is the ability to think critically, problem-solve, and prioritize team needs while maintaining exceptional organization as a dedicated team player throughout each step of a project.

This individual will report to the Senior Tax Manager in the Tax, Generational and Financial Planning Group while also supporting the Senior Tax Analysts.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage research, respond, and track all tax controversy and refund matters. Collaborate with team members to research any issues listed in the notices.

• Collaborate with the finance team and outside service providers to gather information when responding to tax audits.

• Supports enhancement of the Tax, Generational and Financial Planning governance model, including establishing policies and procedures.

• Creates and maintains documentation for financial related family office transactions.

• Collaborates with senior tax analysts on annual tax compliance tasks and calculations.

• Maintain a current inventory of charitable donations, gifts, and contributions for tax compliance.

• Analyze financial data to ensure information is accurately used for tax reporting.

• Support with documentation on conclusions of tax positions.

• Provide recommendations when opportunities for improvement are presented.

• Collaborate with service providers, maintain, project lists, and coordinate communications as needed.

• Assist with a variety of projects from the financial and planning group or cross-functionally (Investments, Family Services, Private Trust Companies, and Legal).

Minimum

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Accounting or Finance required) 1-2 years of accounting experience

• Strong analytical, technical, written, and oral communication skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments

• Exceptional reputation, character, ethics, and strong value alignment with the Cox Family

Preferred

• CPA

• 2 years of public accounting experience at a regional or national firm

• Tax background preferred
