Senior Tax Analyst - Cox Family Office
The Cox Family Office is hiring a Tax Senior Analyst to support the Tax and Financial Planning Team. The Tax Senior Analyst will be based in Atlanta and responsible for managing and contributing to various tax matters and projects serving Cox Family members, trusts, and associated entities. Critical to the role is the ability to think critically, problem-solve, and prioritize team needs while maintaining organization as a dedicated team player throughout each step of a project.
Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance & Projects Support
- Analyzes financial data to identify tax issues to support annual and quarterly tax compliance and planning assignments.
- Creates and maintains tax calculations, tax projections, and tax planning models for partnerships, trusts, and individuals.
- Compiles and tracks information related to tax compliance and transactions, including organization and electronic filing.
- Collaborates with numerous financial, legal, and tax providers, maintaining project lists and coordinating communications as needed.
- Researches and generates documentation to support conclusions of tax positions.
- Assists with monitoring and responding to tax controversy and refund matters.
- Assists with preparation of presentation materials and supporting exhibits to facilitate discussion of tax matters.
- Maintains organizational charts and entity descriptions inventory.
- Collaborates with Family Office administration on tax payments, signatures, and mailings.
Additional Responsibilities
- Supports enhancement of Tax and Financial Planning governance model, including policies and procedures.
- Prepares ad hoc analyses and performs other departmental projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Two to four years of experience in tax at a national or regional firm.
- Strong academic record (minimum GPA of 3.0).
- CPA preferred.
- Prior experience working in the private wealth industry and/or serving multi-generational families preferred.
- Prior experience in building tax efficiencies using technology a plus.
- Strong analytical, technical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to lead, manage, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Highly detail-oriented and extremely organized in work.
- Hardworking, approachable, trustworthy, and dependable individual, with exceptional interpersonal skills. The individual should want to be part of a “team focused” organization.
- Enjoys challenges and proactively finding collaborative solutions.
- Excellent computer and software knowledge essential, including Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook) and accounting software (SEI Archway).
