A single-family office based in Greenwich, CT seeks to hire a Senior Financial Accountant to manage financial matters and budgets across several departments as a key member of the finance team. This role is based in the Greenwich area, but involves travel 30-40% of the time to various domestic (25%) and international (15%) properties.

Necessary qualifications include 7+ years of significant experience in an accounting role for a family office or major corporation, international work experience, and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. This professional should have proven leadership and project management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to be flexible and work effectively while traveling. Applicants must be detail oriented, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Primary responsibilities for the role will include:

• Formulating and maintaining budgets for various properties
• Liaising with other members of the finance team as well as on-site property managers
• Reviewing funding requests and managing the approval process
• Conducting property visits to identify areas of improvement from a financial controls perspective
• Reviewing capital projects and long-term strategic plans with the rest of the finance team
• Other general accounting (petty cash, reports, contract review, insurance, etc.)

This is a full-time, year-round position. Base compensation range of $110,000 to $125,000 per annum offered, depending on experience and qualifications, with a full benefits package (annual bonus potential up to 25% of base salary; 401(k) retirement plan; medical, dental, and vision insurance; and paid time off/paid holidays).
