Senior Accountant - London, UK

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant position is within the Finance unit of a Single Family Office whose primary focus is property management. The position will report to our New York Office. The position is located in London, England.  

Experience and Education

  • CPA/Accounting degree preferred
  • Accounting experience (3-7 years)
  • Experience in a family office or property management company is a plus
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Extremely strong technical accounting skills
  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work with discretion and confidential information
  • The ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Efficient computer skills (especially in excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements for various entities, and work with outside auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance with local standards.
  • Oversee the AP clerk to ensure that invoices are paid timely and coded appropriately.
  • Oversee the payroll and pension contribution process for numerous entities.
  • Assist with the compilation and reporting of annual budgets.
  • Assist in preparation of information required for annual tax filings.
  • Assist with General Ledger maintenance as needed (chart of accounts maintenance, ledger entries, etc).
  • Assistance in review of insurance coverages and preparation of insurance applications for various entities
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • In addition to family real estate and bill pay, commercial entities within the group’s responsibility include two shooting estates, a pub, and an Inn.
