Senior Accountant
The Company:
The Company is a single family office serving a variety of entities (partnerships, trusts, foundation and corporations) by providing financial, accounting, tax, investment oversight, insurance oversight and administrative services.
The Position: Senior Accountant
The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities include investment reporting, financial reporting, financial analysis and budgeting. This position provides exposure to investments, estate planning, personal financial planning, accounting and more.
Accounting and Reporting
- Record and reconcile investment activity
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Prepare general ledger journal entries as required
- Maintain accounts receivable and payable
- Prepare checks and set up wire transfers
- Monitor capital calls and distributions
- Complete subscription paperwork for private investments
- Generate financial statements
- Create financial and cash flow projections
- Maintain financial records and files
Tax
- Compile and reconcile taxable income for outsourced tax preparers
- Review outsourced tax returns
- Prepare quarterly tax projections
Analysis and Special Projects
- Investment performance
- Research
Experience required:
The Company will consider candidates with at least 2 years of public accounting or private industry accounting experience. An above average understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat required. Experience with QuickBooks greatly preferred. This position requires attention to detail, accuracy and problem solving skills. Discretion is required and strong organizational skills are necessary.
