Senior Accountant
Job Summary:
An established, multi-generational single family office is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the current staff of five at its office in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The Senior Accountant is responsible for (i) helping manage core finance & accounting, wealth management, tax planning, and risk management processes (ii) supporting sound internal financial decision-making, and (iii) providing family members with outstanding financial support. This position will also assist with ensuring the administration of trusts and provide insight to the trustees. The office has remote work opportunity with on site presence required as agreed upon. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Experience and Education:
- CPA
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Accounting and tax experience (3-5 years min); public accounting experience preferred
- Family Office experience a plus

- Proven ability to work with discretion and confidential information

- Efficient computer skills (especially in excel)

Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the compilation and reporting of annual family office budget to the board as well as compilation of annual budgets, cashflow requirements and financial statements for families, trusts and operating entities;
- Coordinate with external tax professionals in preparation of partnership, individual and trust returns. Prepare returns in house, maintain depreciation schedules and assist with year end tax planning, extension projections and estimate payments;
- Support CFO with client, consultant and broker relationships; liaise with investment and real estate partners to expedite the timely receipt of fund transfers and K1s
- Coordination with external advisors on trade booking and investment reconciliations including automation of current processes to gain efficiencies. Assist in the completion of subscription documents for new investments;
- Understand trust agreements and monitor payment of required distributions;
- Assist with General Ledger maintenance, postings and reconciliation of period closings and cash accounts;
- Manage foundation contributions and annual reporting requirements;
- Support processing of payroll for several owned entities, including filing of quarterly and year end payroll and 1099 reports;
- Coordinate annual report filings for investment entities.
