Harvest Capital Management (HCM) originates, develops and enhances relationships with wealthy families, foundations and endowments.  The HCM investment team assists clients with building and preserving their financial and family wealth by creating and implementing personalized long-term asset allocation strategies and providing access to innovative and uniquely effective investment vehicles.  HCM professionals research best of breed equity, alternative and credit strategies in the public and private markets to deliver exceptional portfolio results to our clients.

The Portfolio Manager, Investment Analyst will directly manage client portfolios, identify and analyze new strategies and securities for investment, and communicate effectively within the investment team and with client families.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Leverage your energy, intellect and experience to contribute to a growing business
• Carefully manage portfolio liquidity, select appropriate investments and execute trades to deliver exceptional investment performance 
• Work closely with the investment team and family advisors to educate clients about HCM investment strategies
• Identify and analyze productive new investment vehicles, particularly alternative strategies, for use in client portfolios
• Utilize valuation and momentum metrics to assist making asset class level buy/sell decisions
• Design, prepare and present investment reviews and proposals to existing and prospective families, foundations and endowments

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Knowledge and passion for investing
• Integrity, humility, focus and a desire to be highly productive
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
• Advanced Excel, portfolio management and order management system capabilities
• Alternative investment analytical experience
• Excellent communication skills: the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts and strategies in a clear and concise manner to a variety  of audiences
• Self-motivated and able to work in an autonomous, yet collaborative environment
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, an uncompromising commitment to “service excellence”
• MBA/CAIA/CFA preferred

REPORTS TO

This position reports to the Managing Director, Investment Research.

COMPENSATION

An excellent compensation package will be designed to attract an outstanding individual, including relocation as needed.
