Single family office located in Las Vegas, NV is looking for a qualified investment professional to join our asset management team.

Portfolio Manager Summary:

Assists Managing Director with creating & monitoring the overall asset allocation strategy

Assists Managing Director with communicating asset allocation strategy to the board

Assists Managing Director with the selection of all investments within the approved allocation

Assists Managing Director with internally managed tactical portfolio

Responsible for due diligence, monitoring, and reporting for all externally managed investments (includes equity/fixed income separately managed accounts, equity/fixed income ETF strategies, and hedge funds)

Responsible for maintaining the prime brokerage relationship & the oversight of the corresponding internal trading strategy/trader

Responsible for a trading/tactical portfolio solely managed by portfolio manager (optional)

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/characteristics:

• CFA or equivalent designation preferred

• A minimum of 10 years of investment experience

• A minimum of 5 years of “relevant” investment experience

  • Relevant investment experience should include all aspects of the investment management process including asset allocation, portfolio management, ongoing portfolio monitoring and a knowledge of a wide range of asset classes and investments

• Understanding of macroeconomic data points as well as technical market factors and have the ability to apply them to both short and long term positioning

• Prior experience working in a family office is preferred

• Proficiency with Bloomberg and Microsoft Excel

• Individual of high integrity, honesty and discretion

• Demonstrated effectiveness in building credibility, trust and collaborative relationships with all colleagues, both internally and externally

• Strategic and tactical thinker who anticipates issues, such as changing markets, and recommends appropriate actions on a proactive basis

• Self-confident individual with sound, mature judgment, conviction and common sense

• A team player with “hands-on,” “in the trenches” work ethic/approach
