JOB TITLE: Manager, Talent Acquisition & Development
SUMMARY: This role will develop, implement, and manage our recruitment strategy and processes, new employee induction program as well as our employee learning & development capabilities.
REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Human Resources
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a new role within the organization that will require an energetic, hands-on individual to oversee & manage recruitment, induction, and learning & development programming. As Manager, Talent & Development, you will help lead the growth of our organization, establishing our strategy and best-in-class processes and practices within the talent acquisition & development function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition
- Develops, align and executes recruiting strategy at the company level and for each new role – including use of agencies and vendors
- Build and implement programs and procedures for end-to-end recruiting including talent acquisition, onboarding, and candidate experience.
- For each approved requisition, deliver a continuous pipeline of quality candidates that meet the various job requirements and hiring manager’s expectations; work closely with the hiring manager to escalate and discuss issues in the recruitment process and ensure appropriate evolution of approach as needed based on learnings.
- Manage job descriptions for recruiting, promotions and internal transfers
- Ensure a consistently positive candidate experience.
- Continually improve recruiting effectiveness using, potentially, EQ and PI assessments, D&I parameters and a wide range of sourcing techniques.
- Manage relationships & strategy implementation with external agencies and vendors who advertise and promote targeted jobs.
Talent Development
- Lead the creation and implementation of a learning and development framework that is aligned with Chai’s strategic plan and provides personalized development opportunities
- Design and manage solutions that include a blended approach to learning such as coaching, classroom training, 1:1 sessions, action learning & e-learning that support all levels of the organization and across various areas of professional services.
- Develop metrics and reporting around employee learning & development, tied to our company mission, vision and strategy
- Partner with HR to create & implement development plans for employees to support their professional growth and company needs
- Partner with Communications to create and implement and effective internal communication strategy relevant to the L&D program
- Vet and source vendors, consultants, conferences, certifications and outside education programs that support our learning strategy & needs
- Work with managers to develop department level capabilities to support employee development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Proven experience sourcing and developing talent with a minimum of five years experience in recruitment and hiring process preferred
- Strong understanding of LMS and HRIS systems and reporting
- Function relevant certifications/credentials a plus
- Thorough knowledge of HR best practices
- MS Office experience: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
