The High Net Worth group is a team within Ballentine Partners focused specifically on clients with investment assets between $3 and $20 million with moderate financial planning needs. The Investment Advisor Associate for the High Net Worth group works directly with the Senior Investment Advisors and Managing Director to carry out a significant portion of the detailed work required to execute the strategy that is developed for each client.
Key responsibilities include:
•Construct and execute trade plans for client accounts
•Monitor cash flows, positions, trades, significant asset transfers and changes in client portfolios
•Work effectively with our professional contacts, including custodians, investment managers, accountants and attorneys
•Prepare client ready materials, including performance reports and prospect/client presentations
•Maintain data in Advent system including updating benchmarks, composites, groups, etc.
•Handle day-to-day inquiries
•Actively participate in the Investment Group
•Research investment and financial planning projects as needed
•Meet with clients with senior staff and assist with follow up;
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics or a quantitative science and excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Qualified candidates will also have excellent conceptual and problem solving abilities along with strong math, analytical and communication skills.
We are looking for an individual with a solid working knowledge of investments and portfolio management who is detail-oriented and is able to work independently, as well as in a team environment. We are committed to fostering the growth and development of our Investment Analysts and encourage them to sit for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or the Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Two years of related technical experience is preferred, but not required.
