FAMILY OFFICE LIAISON SUPPORT/COORDINATOR- Cox Enterprises
The Cox Family Office Finance/Accounting Team is hiring a Family Office Liaison Support/Coordinator role to assist in support of the client family units, including the financial reporting and management of day-to-day accounting related activities. The Family Office Liaison Support/Coordinator will be based in Atlanta. In-office days will be required.
Vital to the role is the ability to communicate clearly, problem-solve, and prioritize family/team needs while maintaining organization as a dedicated team player.
This individual will report to the Manager of Accounting in the Finance/Accounting Group. He/she will collaborate with the Family Relations teams.
Position Responsibilities:
Review and analyze monthly activities for various expense accounts for accuracy, providing recommendations when opportunities for improvement are presented.
Responsible for the accurate and complete preparation of the monthly financial reporting schedules
Review credit card activity for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. Ensure proper approvals are received prior to payment.
Process invoices and payments. Gather appropriate approvals to ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
Track project costs and adherence to budget. Communicate status of projects to Finance Manager and Family Relations Director.
Perform bookkeeping activities including month-end journal entries and reviewing accuracy of transactions in general ledger.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, resolve issues timely, and ensure balances are properly supported and explained.
Participate in monthly financial statement preparation and ad hoc financial statement requests.
Prepare cash transfers for processing when requested.
Collaborate with outside vendors to optimize billing/payment processes and establish a best-in-class accounts payable practice.
Assist with a variety of ad hoc requests and projects from the finance/accounting team and the family relations team
Monitors and optimizes business processes by reviewing operational and financial processes to ensure compliance and effectiveness, identifying anomalies and making improvements
Supports continuous process improvements

Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree
4 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience with relevant family office experience
Experience in preparation of financial statements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Highly detail oriented and organized in work
Highest level of discretion and judgment
