Family Office Finance and Operations Manager (FOM)


The Family Office Finance and Operations Manager (FOM) is a key partner with the Director of Shareholder Affairs/Family Office CEO (DSA) and the Family Office team that ensures wealth transfer, accounting and financial management services and key operational support is being provided to the family and shareholders in a proactive manner aligned with the key goals and objectives for the family and the Strategic Plan for the Company.

Key Responsibility Areas
 
Family Office Administration. In partnership with the Family Office CEO, the FOM is responsible for supporting the operations of the Family Office in a manner that is aligned with and supports the achievement of the shareholders’ goals and objectives:
  • Manage budget and consulting support services
  • Coordinate and assure execution of all support activities
  • Provide operating administration of shareholder relations
  • Leads or coordinates special projects as requested which may include initiatives such as impact investing, philanthropy, Heritage Assets management and shareholder-Next Gen enrichment and education
  • Coordination and preparation of materials for Family-Owners Council Meetings, Board Meetings, Shareholder Meetings, meetings with trustees and family members 
 
Family Financial Operations.  Under the leadership of the DSA, responsible for executing and implementing the legal, accounting, tax, investment and wealth transfer and management services to the shareholders including those outlined in the attached matrix in the following areas:
  • Wealth Protection-Wealth Transfer:
    • Oversight and support of TAG and performance of its annual tasks schedule
      • Oversight of the shareholders’ private banking relationship including opening new accounts and monitoring account activity
      • Providing timely reports, cash flow projections and other information to the shareholders regarding their financial positions to assist them with making decisions regarding wealth transfer/estate planning, personal budgeting and financial planning.
    • FOM has primary oversight and execution responsibility for those tasks in yellow on the attached schedule  including:
      • FOM will support the DSA in respect of those tasks in blue on the attached schedule
      • Support the DSA and the Company CFO in the year end wealth transfer transactions aka the January Drill.
