An executive couple based in Chicago who is establishing a downtown family office to oversee ongoing financial, wealth, and human resources matters seeks to hire a Chief Operating Officer for this family office. The ideal professional will be a capable operations and oversight professional with established office and financial management experience who is comfortable assuming broad responsibilities for the family’s ongoing activities and projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Serve as primary point of contact for the principals to manage key advisor relationships
- Establish and perform annual reviews of employees, benefits plans, capital projects, insurance policies, etc.
- Maintain standing meetings with accounting and corporate staff
- Oversee the family’s physical property, including multiple residences, vehicles, aircraft, and art
- Manage all political contributions and philanthropy
- Perform all human resources functions for family office and residential staff employed by the family
Necessary Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferred
- Past experience with capital budgets; strong financial acumen
- Excellent and proven organizational skills
- Able to operate independently and remain effective while establishing new procedures and processes
Compensation up to $200,000 offered for this opportunity, with a full corporate benefits package.
