Family office Bookkeeper
We are looking for someone to join our small family office to assist with the firm’s day-to-day bookkeeping and recording of all data entries of receipts and disbursements in QuickBooks Desktop and Online
Maintain ongoing schedules related to art purchases, insurance, charitable contributions, and other recurring events for family members.
Assist senior accountant and managing director with projects in investments, estate planning, taxes, philanthropy, art, and physical asset management.
Assist in creating and maintaining family office handbook including legal, accounting, and personal information for all entities and family members.
Provide excellent administrative assistance and concierge service to high-net-worth individuals.
Manage internal documentation and data retention procedures. Filing and organizing statements from online banking, including retrieval of monthly/quarterly financial information from intranet investor sites
Requirements
· Proficiency in QuickBooks & Excel
· Experienced in Microsoft Word and Office
· High attention to detail and organized.
· 2-3+ years of related accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
· Great work ethic, self-motivated, team player, competitive, personable, and highly competent. Must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Demonstrate good judgment and the ability to maintain confidential information, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Positive, no-task-too-small attitude
· On-site work in office with occasional 1-2 days a month in NYC office. Potential for one day a week remote after trained.
