Family Office Accounting Manager

Alexander West Capital Title: Family Office Accounting Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Managing Director The Accounting Manager will plan and direct accounting activities for Alexander West Capital, a family office that oversees operating companies and investments for a family enterprise. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to family offices, monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will provide accounting services to early-stage enterprises and other investments and trusts that do not have an accounting department. Responsibilities • Oversee preparation of business reports, financial forecasts and budget preparation. • Provide accounting and bill pay services for investment entites and trusts • Oversee the production of periodic financial reports, ensure that the reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. • Work closely with Managing Director to consolidate the results of all operating companies and investments and prepare presentation for monthly Family Council meetings. • Prepare financial analysis for the evaluation of investment and acquisition opportunities. • Maintain financial security by establishing internal controls. • Research and analyze expense variances for company management. • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal government requirements. Qualifications • 8+ years of professional accounting experience • CPA required • Strong financial analysis skills
