Our client is a 10 person family office in downtown Chicago. For them, we need to find a unicorn: an experienced corporate paralegal who is client-facing, responsible, funny, and wicked-smart. Work will range from complicated private equity, real estate & corporate transactions to house closings, trusts & estates & employee matters. In other words, it could be anything.

You don't even need to be a paralegal - you could be a former lawyer looking to get back into the workforce, a law firm office manager, or even a really good legal assistant. But you have to be special.

Schools and degrees and fancy employers will get you pretty far - I mean, don't get me wrong, I like them - but they aren't the main things at which we're looking. We're looking for energy, spirit, amiability, and a spark. As Potter Stewart said, "I know it when I see it."

Hours are incredible, work can be (at least partially) remote. Office is casual and laid back. Pay is better than competitive, as are benefits. Sound too good to be true? Well, that's why we need a unicorn!
