Director of Property and Asset Management
The Director of Property and Asset Management will be an integral part of a dedicated and highly skilled leadership team, responsible for providing outstanding customized service to our clients. Maintaining a high level of client satisfaction is critical to the success of this position.
The individual in this role will be responsible for providing superior leadership and oversight of a wide variety of personal hard assets and select leaders, including properties, marine, aviation, and outlying assets; as well as managing projects.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Real Property Projects:
· Serve as primary point of contact for select Property Managers; provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching for optimal professional development.
· Oversee and coordinate major real estate projects, such as building and residential renovations and new building construction, serving as Owner’s Representative.
· Work with relevant property managers on significant construction and real estate projects.
· Confirm construction best practices are adhered to regarding design, bidding, cost control, project scheduling and deadlines.
· Work closely with internal and external partners to balance competing needs and priorities.
Outlying Areas:
· Oversee Director of Engineering, providing direction on municipal matters, including infrastructure, roads, water, and power; provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching.
· Liaise with vendors to provide exemplary oversight of building and property projects.
· Perform site visits and interact with relevant partners to drive results.
· Liaise with and develop effective working relationships with governmental officials and key business groups.
Yacht/Marine Program:
· Serve as primary point of contact for select Yacht and Build Captains; provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching for optimal professional development.
· Oversee and review proposed programs and initiatives based on a careful assessment of Client needs, associated costs, and anticipated outcomes.
· Oversee build and refurbish projects, working in conjunction with Build Captain(s) and vendors.
Aviation Program:
· Serve as primary point of contact for the aviation program; ensure aircraft programs for Clients meet requirements and are appropriately managed.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field required.
• Leadership experience and exceptional management skills required.
• Previous relevant experience required, such as operations, projects, business management, hard asset management; experience in the service industry and/or hotel/yacht industries a plus.
• Experience planning and managing operational and capital projects and processes.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and meet commitments.
• Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service with a professional, tactful demeanor.
• Strong relationship management skills with a consultative approach and excellent listening skills.
• A strategic thinker having exceptional diplomacy, verbal and written communication skills, and innovative problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of general construction and development terminology and understanding of standard capital enhancement/improvement projects a plus.
• Occasional travel required, including regional and international.
