The Director of Human Resources will be an integral part of a dedicated and highly skilled team responsible for providing outstanding customized service to our clients. The individual in this role will be responsible for managing Human Resources.
Reporting Relationship: Vice President of Operations
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership:
- Effectively lead others to ensure a professional and highly competent team; set goals and direction.
- Provide ongoing feedback; evaluate performance; develop, mentor, and motivate direct reports; lead by setting a good example.
Recruiting, Selection, and Onboarding:
- Review staffing needs with Clients and leaders; recruit and attract talent.
- Develop and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
Employee Development and Engagement:
- Provide coaching and feedback on improving individual and team performance.
- Plan and carry out employee engagement and recognition activities.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Conduct competitive market research to establish pay practices and ranges to recruit and retain talent.
- Benefits strategy and administration.
Payroll:
- Manage in-house payroll process.
- Manage W-2 preparation, payroll tax reporting, and annual compensation review process.
Other:
- Comply with legal requirements.
- Research, write, and communicate policies.
- Consult with leaders and employees to write job descriptions.
- Manage HR-related company communications.
- Desire and ability to be highly involved in day-to-day activities.
- Effectively collaborate and communicate with others.
- Complete other projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- Previous experience working for a family office, with high net-worth individuals, or in private wealth management preferred.
- At least 8-10 years of progressively more responsible human resources experience.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Occasional travel required, including international.
