Director, Family Engagement & Learning
JOB TITLE: Director, Family Engagement & Learning
LOCATION: Chicago, Illinois (willing to accommodate relocation)
SUMMARY: We are seeking a learning & solutions oriented senior professional to be responsible for the design and implementation of best-in-class family engagement initiatives, with a heavy focus on communications, learning, & human capital development. This will include working with employees at all levels of the organization as well as external service providers to enhance each family member’s experience & engagement with the company and facilitate as well as implement a family learning strategy.
REPORTS TO: Senior Director Client Solutions
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with Chai employees and outside service providers to develop, implement and manage an engaging curriculum and underlying written, media, & experiential content for family members
- Working closely with key employees to develop and manage a content calendar, as well as the content itself, in order to optimize/facilitate meaningful communications from Chai to family members – this includes but is not limited to spotlights, factsheets, summaries and other pieces regarding Chai products, services, requests and other items.
- Working closely with Senior Director – Client Solutions to develop and maintain collateral for family members regarding third party service providers that directly support family members; conduct ongoing performance and diligence reviews of such providers that include soliciting feedback from family members
- Partnering with HR to organize and implement training & development opportunities for employees that improve our client engagement and communication capabilities
- Assisting with the ongoing development and implementation of a consolidated Chai/family communication portal; manage the portal and actively solicit feedback from family members on an ongoing basis regarding issues, needs, and improvements
- Working closely with senior management to plan, develop & host annual relationship review meetings with each family member
- Researching and advising Chai senior management and employees on existing and new topics of interest that should be considered in the context of the family needs as well as our engagement & learning strategy
- Working closely with senior management on the planning, coordination and facilitation of family meetings; working with family stakeholders as well as internal and external resources
- Supporting family members in developing family communications (including the family newsletter) as well as internal family governance (relevant to group decisions and other needs)
- Developing and implementing our coaching offering, as well as the coaching stack for this role as well as other employees with high family touchpoints to support family development needs, including the vetting, engagement and oversight of appropriate external resources and experts to enhance our capabilities
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience working with executives or families around communication, effective team management, culture and training. Background in industrial /organizational psychology, coaching, and meeting facilitation is very relevant to the work.
- MA, PHD, MSW or MBA with a focus related to industrial psychology is preferred but not required.
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- UX and design skills a plus
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite Tools
- Ability to learn and utilize new tools to support activities and oversight
