Data Control Associate (Alternative Investments)

Longview Asset Management LLC is looking to interview candidates for a position with an immediate opening. The Data Control Associate role at Longview provides motivated candidates the opportunity to be actively involved in monitoring and analyzing public and private equity investments. The Data Control Associate will be responsible for managing data integral to Longview’s fund investment program. Additional support will be provided to Longview’s publicly traded securities team, Longview’s private equity co-investment program, and Longview’s back office operations team as appropriate.

The Data Control Associate will assist with the following initiatives:

 Data management & reporting

 Collecting, entering, maintaining, and assessing fund manager data in Tamale, Backstop, and Advent.

 Overseeing manager performance, assets under management, position detail, fund exposures, legal terms etc.

 Maintaining manager letters, legal documents, and related research in Tamale

 Tracking and assessing private equity portfolio company operating metrics and transactions

 Liaising with Longview back office operations team to ensure correct data is being maintained and reported

 Internal quarterly and annual reporting

 Creating manager summary reports for all Longview fund investments

 Assist in evaluation and execution of new fund investment ideas

 Analyze manager data to look for trends, areas of concern, and areas of interest

 Valuation analysis of underlying private companies

 Industry research and investigation of trends

 Management of various due diligence and transactional activities

 Assist with management of existing fund investments and portfolio companies

 Overseeing liquidity analysis and manager redemption schedules

 Additional support activities, including meeting organization, preparation, and logistics as appropriate

Preferred candidates for the Data Control Associate position will possess a strong academic record and excellent references. Prior back office work experience at a fund management company or data provider is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail is essential for this role. The successful candidate should exhibit proficient financial analysis capabilities, a strong work ethic, experience with Microsoft Excel, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and ability to juggle multiple projects. Prior experience with Tamale, Backstop, or Advent is a plus.
