UMB, a family-led, publicly-traded bank holding company with over 100 years of history, seeks an entrepreneurial and driven investment professional to fill the role of Chief Investment Officer of UMB Family Wealth.

What You'll Do

• Chair the Investment Committee and take responsibility for the overall direction of the Firm's investment outlook, economic outlook and policies and procedures related to management of client portfolios.
• Manage associates, as assigned, including investment research analyst team
• Manage assigned accounts for ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients which requires significant client relationship management and new business development.
• Establish and implement the investment policy within client portfolios and communicate this policy to clients.
• Increase Assets under Management (AUM) and revenue by conveying the UMBFW investment process and policies to prospective clients to complete the sale of investment services.
• Build and maintain customer relationships through quality customer service, anticipating client needs, and communication to meet defined objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

• College degree or relevant equivalent experience
• 10+ years' experience in Investment Management, Financial Planning or Brokerage that includes communicating complex and detailed information related to investment management process and portfolio construction

Preferred Requirements

• One or more of the following credentials: MBA, CFA, CFP, CAIA
• Direct experience managing and rebalancing individual portfolios through a multi-asset class investment strategy
• Knowledge and expertise with sourcing and performing due diligence on alternative and direct investments
• Supervisory or team leadership experience

• Demonstrates investment and trading knowledge of portfolio modeling, platforms, policies and procedures, state and federal laws/regulations
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); Thompson Reuters or Bloomberg
