Associate Financial Planner- Greater Milwaukee Area

The Associate Financial Planner position provides technical support for the Certified Financial Planner and Executive Director through the Family Financial Planning Office (the “Office”). This position is expected to work in coordination with and report to the Certified Financial Planner with a dotted line to the Executive Director of the Office. The Associate Financial Planner may participate in client meetings but not in an advice delivering capacity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver superior client service and support to high net worth individuals and families
  • Gather, organize and maintain client personal and financial wealth plan profile data
  • Prepare materials for client meetings, record notes, prepare summaries and manage post-meeting action items including inquiry resolution
  • Provide support in cash flow analysis and income tax analysis of investment strategies
  • Utilize knowledge in estate planning, risk management, investments, tax and retirement planning and philanthropy to prepare financial planning scenarios for review
  • Utilize financial planning software; enter client data; prepare financial plans for clients
  • Conduct research related to wealth plan solutions and strategies
  • Collaborate with external client advisors (i.e. attorneys, accountants, investment advisors, consultants).
  • Populate communication portal/hub for document management and client communication

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required
  • 2+ years of financial/wealth planning and analysis required
  • Experience with high-income/net worth individuals and families preferred
  • NaviPlan and MoneyGuide Pro experience preferred
  • Working towards an advanced degree or a professional designation is a plus

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Strong analytical and financial skills are required.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency are required.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to balance several activities at one time and set priorities accordingly. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
