Accountant/Bookkeeper

The Glenora Company has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time accountant/bookkeeper to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. The role is unique, varied and highly service-oriented to meet our clients’ needs. The anticipated start date is October 3rd. Responsibilities: • Pay client bills & allocate to various accounts • Pay tax estimates • Track & setup monthly recurring draws, loans • Track & setup real estate tax bills • Calculate specific allocations for complex invoices • Calculate, prepare & post: capital transactions, bond amortization, cost basis adjustments • Prepare oil & gas investment bookkeeping and reporting • Prepare oil & gas investment depletion, depreciation, gain/loss annual entries • Reconcile broker accounts • Post daily entries • Post correcting entries • Assist CPAs with preparation of cash flow, charitable contribution, & misc. client reports Qualifications: We’re looking for someone who enjoys what they do and who is: • Experienced, with at least 5 years of previous accounting/bookkeeping experience. Knowledge of capital transactions, depletion, depreciation, cost basis, and amortization. Financial statement preparation including Statement of Cash Flows. • College background with accounting courses is strongly preferred. • Positive, personable, and able to easily build rapport and collaborative work relationships with team. • Flexible, open to change and able to shift priorities to meet the needs of clients and team. • Motivated to provide consistently exceptional service to clients and team. • Professional in demeanor and able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of people, including clients and executives. • Organized, detailed, accurate and diligent with follow-through on projects. • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. • Proficient with FIS Charlotte software is a plus.
