Johnson Keland Management, Inc. has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time accountant/bookkeeper to join our team in Racine, WI. (The title of this position is Client Representative.)

A Client Rep’s role is unique, varied and highly service-oriented to meet our clients’ needs. Responsibilities range from maintaining an accurate and current general ledger for clients and their related entities to coordinating clients’ personal finances, insurance and taxes to handling administrative and concierge-related requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of accounting/bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintaining and balancing the general ledger, reconciling bank statements and investment accounts, processing dividends and distributions, assisting with credit applications/inquiries, and daily managing of cash accounts.
  • Prepare detailed budget and expenditure reports.
  • Work with accounting firm to prepare taxes; pay quarterly estimated federal and state income taxes.
  • Record asset and liability transactions, including stock purchases and sales, loans, investments and land purchases.
  • Assist with insurance matters involving personal property and/or health insurance coverage.
  • Coordinate vehicle licenses, renewals, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate residence/property maintenance projects directly or oversee employees/contractors to complete projects.
  • Perform a variety of administrative and personal concierge services upon request.
  • ·Maintain personal calendars; assist with travel arrangements.
  • Engage in a variety of client and company-wide projects and team-building activities with coworkers.

Qualifications:

We’re looking for someone who enjoys what they do and who is:

  • Experienced, with at least 5 years of previous accounting/bookkeeping experience.
  • College-degreed; a bachelor’s degree in accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Positive, personable, empathetic and able to easily build rapport and collaborative work relationships with coworkers.
  • Flexible, open to change and able to shift priorities to meet the needs of clients and colleagues.   
  • ·Motivated to provide consistently exceptional service to clients and colleagues.
  • Professional in demeanor and able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of people, including executives.
  • Organized, detailed, accurate and diligent with follow-through on projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
