Seth Spreadbury is the National Family Office Practice Leader for Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA), based out of their Minneapolis office. In his role, Seth works with approximately 75 single and multi-family offices, and consults with hundreds more, on insurance and non-insurance risk management solutions. His unique skillset and experience as a management liability insurance underwriter enable him to help professional service companies and other organizations grow by ensuring some of their most highly-technical insurance programs are in place properly. He was recognized as the Rising Star for 2018.

Prior to joining MMA, Seth spent ten years with Chubb and Travelers in both underwriting and alliance-building positions. His time with these leading insurance carriers gives Seth a wealth of knowledge and first-hand experience into how insurers price, structure and underwrite the technical policies within executive liability insurance coverage. The technical know how he gained over this time gives clients confidence that their risks are being transferred appropriately to insurance. Among others, he’s well-versed in errors and omissions (E&O), directors and officers (D&O), fiduciary, crime, and cyber liability insurance. Additionally, his dedication to customer satisfaction, high standard of professionalism and always-on drive for improvement led him to being honored with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies’ Sales Circle of Excellence award in 2011, 2012 and 2013. He was also a Breakthrough Program participant in 2012 and honored with DecisionPoint Elite recognition in 2013.

Outside of the office, Seth spends time contributing to the Family Office industry at large, including speaking at association events and conferences and contributing articles as a guest writer to industry magazines. In addition, he works as a family office advisor at the Family Business Center at University of St. Thomas, and serves on the Human Rights Commission for his hometown. When he’s not working, Seth can be found at the family cabin with his wife and two children.
