Key elements currently impacting philanthropy approaches are potential tax changes, alignment with the rising gen on shared giving goals, changes in philanthropy practices, like collaborative giving, the increased pace of capital spending and pre- and post-liquidity philanthropy planning.

During this webcast, panelists will discuss the elements above and provide advice on how to develop an intentional and well-rounded philanthropic plan for the future.

    President and Chief Executive Officer, National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP)

    Nicholas (Nick) Tedesco is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP). NCFP serves as a hub of learning, connection, and collaboration designed to resource and activate a community of families to be intentional philanthropic stewards. Nick is a passionate advocate for philanthropy and brings over a decade of experience partnering with donors and their families to establish and meet their giving goals. 

    Prior to joining NCFP, Nick served as a Senior Advisor in the J.P. Morgan Philanthropy Centre where he provided clients with insights and services to help meet their philanthropic objectives through innovative advice, thought leadership and opportunities for learning and collaboration.

    Previously, Nick served as a Relationship Manager at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he helped launch the Giving Pledge—an effort led by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett to encourage the world’s wealthiest individuals and families to commit the majority of their wealth to philanthropy. In this role, Nick managed relationships with current and prospective members of the pledge, as well as their staff and advisors. He helped to connect global philanthropists with one another in effort to exchange knowledge and encourage collaboration.

    Nick began his career in the social sector as the Deputy Director of the Children’s Health Forum—a national nonprofit focused on the prevention and eradication of childhood diseases that disproportionately impact underserved communities.

    Nick was named to the inaugural Chronicle of Philanthropy 40 Under 40 ranking in 2016. He has been quoted in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal MarketWatch, Time Magazine and other notable publications. He serves as a director of the Wild Elements Foundation—a conscious catalyst for change that accelerates efforts to restore our global ecosystem.

    Nick received a B.A. from Villanova University and resides in Washington, D.C.

    Director, Head of Philanthropy, Deutsche Bank Wealth Management 

    Jacqueline Valouch is the Head of Philanthropy for Deutsche Bank Wealth Management, based in New York. She leads global philanthropy efforts, working closely with private bankers, clients and their advisors on strategic philanthropy and charitable solutions. To that end, she helps clients align their charitable legacy with their overall wealth planning objectives. In addition, she counsels clients who wish to include the next generation in their charitable plans and who are seeking far-reaching and innovative approaches to their giving.

    Ms. Valouch has over 20 years of experience in the philanthropic area. After nearly a decade in private practice, Ms. Valouch joined Fidelity Charitable where, for 15 years, she led a team of charitable planning experts, and advised individuals, families and their advisors on how to incorporate charitable giving into their long-term planning goals.

    Ms. Valouch has been featured as a subject matter expert at numerous conferences and panels on a variety of charitable planning topics. She holds a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany and a J.D. from New York Law School, where she served as an adjunct professor of law in the teaching Charitable Organizations. Ms. Valouch sits on the Board of Directors for the Armory Foundation, is on the Executive Committee of WorkingNation and is also Co-Chair of Lincoln Center Planned Giving Advisory Committee.

    Glen W. Johnson is President of Membership at Family Office Exchange (FOX).     Glen has over 30 years of experience working with family offices, business owners, and executives, first as an attorney and then as a wealth advisor, eventually founding Mirador Family Wealth Advisors – the multi-family office for Fifth Third Bank. He has worked with business owners and executives across all stages of their business life cycle including business succession.  Glen writes and speaks nationally focusing on family and business governance and the unique challenges faced during the sale and transition of closely held businesses.

    Glen earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Education from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and a Juris Doctorate degree from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, MI.
