Chairman/CEO, The Allen Morris Company

W. Allen Morris is Chairman and C.E.O. of The Allen Morris Company. He holds the professional designations of CPM (Certified Property Manager of the Institute of Real Estate Management) and SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors). He is a past President of the Florida CCIM Chapter (Certified Commercial Investment Member of the Realtors National Marketing Institute) as well as holding the prestigious CRE designation (Counselor of Real Estate) and FRICS, as a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

The Allen Morris Company, in its 62nd year, with 84 successful developments to its credit, is one of the largest developers of office, industrial, retail, condominium, hotel and multi-family mixed-use projects in Florida and Georgia. Their headquarters office project, a Mediterranean-Revival style office building in the center of Downtown Coral Gables called Alhambra Towers, has won ten awards including “NAIOP Project of the Year", and the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) of Miami 2019 Office Building of the Year.
 
In 2017 the Company completed construction of the 348-unit, $73 million Hermitage Apartment Homes in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 2018 the company has completed two projects - the SLS LUX Brickell, a 1.4 million square foot, 58-story luxury hotel and condominium - a joint venture with Related Group. Both Hermitage Apartment Homes and SLS LUX Brickell are the recipients of a 2018 Florida’s BEST Award. In 2020, the company’s $71 million Maitland City Centre, the new mixed-use Live-Work-Play downtown for the City of Maitland, Florida, was voted the best apartment community in Orlando. In 2020, the Company opened the first phase of Star Metals Atlanta, a $330 million mixed-use project 409 unit multi-family residential, 267,000 square foot Class “A” office building with 40,000 square feet of retail and restaurants and a 172 key business hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.  In 2020, they also completed their 84th project, The Julian Apartments in Creative Village, Orlando.

Mr. Morris has appeared as a leading authority on real estate topics as a frequent guest on the Fox Business News show CAVUTO with Neil Cavuto and on the Fox Business Morning Break and with Charles Payne. 

In addition to being an Officer and Director of more than 100 different real estate-related companies and President of a charitable Foundation and art museum, Mr. Morris was also Past-Chairman and Advisory Board member of Wachovia Bank of Miami (now Wells Fargo). He is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School and is pursuing post graduate studies at Oxford University.

Mr. Morris is also very civic minded and having lived his whole life in Coral Gables.  He is the former Chairman of the Florida Chapter YPO (Young Presidents' Organization), and currently a member of YPO Gold Chapter  and Board member of The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Miami-Dade County, having served as chairman of their VeritageMiami Wine and Food Festival, and a lifetime senior member of the Orange Bowl Committee. He has served on many national and local real estate boards and many local philanthropic boards.

Mr. Morris has traveled extensively working with international clients, and served Florida on Economic Missions to Europe and Asia. He is also a licensed scuba diver, NASCAR driver, 4th Degree Black Belt Tae Kwon Do Master, and Commercial Jet Pilot, flying himself on most of his business travel.

CEO, The Max Collaborative

Jon Ratner is co-founder and CEO of The Max Collaborative. The Max Collaborative is a multi-disciplinary real estate company owned and operated by members of the Ratner family, founders of Forest City Enterprises, a 100-year-old, publicly traded real estate company which sold to Brookfield in 2018. 
 
From 2002 to 2018, Jon worked at Forest City Enterprises, a national leader in developing large-scale, mixed use, public-private real estate throughout the United States. Jon began his career at Forest City working on the transformative Stapleton redevelopment in Denver, CO and throughout his tenure was involved in every aspect of the business; from site acquisition and entitlement, to design, development, acquisition and asset management, finance, and complex deal structuring on both the capital and partnership side. Underlying all of this experience is Jon’s commitment to delivering on the promise of the triple bottom line: People, Planet and Prosperity. From 2005 – 2015, Jon served as Forest City’s Vice President of Sustainability, one of the first C-Suite Sustainability Executives of a public company in the country, and the first for a public real estate company. Jon ended his career at Forest City as the Asset Manager for its portfolio of 25,000 apartment units across the US. 
  
Jon is currently a member of the International Advisory Board of the University of Colorado Real Estate Center and has served in civic leadership roles for organizations such as ULI, ICSC, the USGBC, The Humane Society of the United States, The Corporate Sustainability Network, and Arts Cleveland. 
 
Jon and his wife, Meg, are both graduates of the University of Colorado Boulder and currently live in Shaker Heights, OH along with their three daughters.

Tim Duffy, Esq.
General Counsel and Interim Director Direct Investing Network    

Tim Duffy is the General Counsel and Interim Director of the Direct Investing Network at FOX. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing FOX’s legal affairs and advises the company on a wide range of legal and business issues. 

Tim has over fifteen years of professional experience in private equity, venture capital, and a broad range of M&A transaction experience, as both an entrepreneur and an attorney.  

Tim attended The Ohio State University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and was a three-time Big Ten Scholar Athlete. Tim also holds a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
 

Nate Hamilton
FOX Advisory Board Member

Nate Hamilton, CFA, is currently Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Heritage Partners Group, a private equity investment and operations platform focused on the acquisition and roll-up of consumer retail and information services businesses. Nate has significant experience in partnering with and investing alongside private family capital and family-owned businesses. Prior to founding Heritage, he worked in investment banking, sales and trading and private equity across several institutions including Goldman Sachs, UBS and as a co-founder of FDX Capital, a direct-investment platform built for FOX family offices. Nate currently sits on the Advisory Board of Family Office Exchange and is a consultant to the Direct Investment Network. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Vanderbilt and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Jonathan Tunner
Director, Private Investment Opportunities

Jonathan Tunner is the director of private investment opportunities at FOX. Jonathan serves as a relationship manager and thought leader helping to develop and execute strategies designed to meet the needs of families across all markets active in direct investing. In his role, Jonathan builds and supports the strategic network of families who desire to share their industry expertise and to collaborate with others to acquire interests in companies and/or real estate. In addition, he oversees the Direct Investing Network (DIN), is a member of the FOX leadership team, and is the Co-Chair of the Owner/Operator Council.

Jonathan brings over twenty-five years of broad business, direct investment, and family office experience to FOX and its members. Jonathan started his career in the international coal industry working in the US, Latin America and Europe for Massey Energy. Jonathan transitioned to oversee daily management of a complex, inter-generational family office. As CFO, Jonathan had senior financial, wealth, and management responsibilities with particular emphasis on sourcing, structuring, funding, overseeing and exiting privately held businesses and real estate interests across a spectrum of sizes and industries. Jonathan also held extensive operational and executive duties within portfolio companies including CEO, CFO and COO, while also serving on numerous boards. Most recently, Jonathan was CEO of Constellation Partners; a business performance consultancy providing strategy, leadership and business intelligence related services to drive enterprise value in lower and middle market businesses. 

Jonathan earned a B.A. from Hampden-Sydney College majoring in Spanish and minoring in Economics and History, and an M.B.A. majoring in Finance from the University of Richmond.

Esther Kim leads the West Zone Real Estate Practice for Marsh & McLennan Companies, and is based in Marsh’s Irvine office.  She oversees the growth strategy and sales efforts for the real estate sector and is responsible for driving client retention, new business, product innovation and overall financial performance.  Esther offers strategic oversight on complex real estate programs and is able to bring her strong senior relationships with the insurance markets to the benefit of her clients.  

Esther has spent 21 years serving clients and the past 14 years focusing on the real estate sector. She began her career as a property broker placing coverage for large global complex risks. She later led several offices and executed overall company growth initiatives while continuing her role as a producer and client executive at a major national insurance broker.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Polictical Science from Columbia University and is a licensed Broker in the State of California.
