Office of the Beneficiary

Overview

As families prepare for an unprecedented $30 trillion transition of generational wealth, the focus is turning from “WHAT” needs to be done to the all-important “HOW” this will occur?  Jay Hughes, author, strategist and sculptor of knowledge on the impact wealth has on families guided the FOX community on an exploration of the Office of the Beneficiary and a comprehensive discussion on the distributive function of their trusts.

Utilizing guidelines established in his books, Family Trusts: A Guide for Beneficiaries, Trustees, Trust Protectors, and Trust Creators; The Cycle of the Gift: Family Wealth and Wisdom; and Family: The Compact Among Generations, the discussion included answers to questions such as: How do you enhance the office of the beneficiary? How does the office of the beneficiary relate within a family’s “trustscape”? How does the office of the beneficiary increase a trust’s capacity to enhance the life of its beneficiaries? How does the office of the beneficiary enable a trust to be a “gift of love”? and How does the office of the beneficiary help integrate a “meteor” so that it is a gift and not a transfer?
