We are pleased to welcome Dan Schawbel as a keynote speaker at this year’s FOX Wealth Advisor Forum. Dan is the managing partner of Millennial Branding, a Gen Y research and consulting firm that specializes in personal and corporate branding. He is the author of the bestselling Me 2.0: 4 Steps to Building Your Future and the upcoming Promote Yourself: The New Art of Getting Ahead. He is also a frequent contributor to magazines such as TIME and Forbes

A prolific writer and speaker, Dan has spent much of his career discussing how the way we do business has changed and will continue to change in the future. At the Forum, he will talk about how the unique expectations of younger clients impact the long-term sales and service delivery models of wealth advisors.

In the clip below, Dan touches on one such adjustment, the ways in which the Internet has changed the nature of first impressions. Gone are the days when you could safely shape your initial presentation with a well-crafted CV or slick portfolio. Today, anything from your Facebook page to a blog post can serve as your first impression. As Dan puts it, "There are no blind dates anymore."
