Bringing the Family Enterprise to Life

The Family Enterprise is a way of thinking about the true scope of your family. It goes beyond the family business. It is more than the invested wealth. It includes all the family members, the philanthropy, the history, the values, and the future of the family. If you are the leader of a Family Enterprise, you need to plan, or engage your family members in a planning process, to map out reasons for staying together, how to make decisions together, how to establish roles for everyone in the family, and how to best engage the family’s capital for the future benefit of the family and the community.

At the 2016 FOX Fall Forum, I outlined the issues and process to consider to get this critical planning underway. Here are the highlights of this talk.

To help family leaders understand the questions that need to be addressed in planning for the Family Enterprise, FOX is offering The Family Enterprise Master Class, a new FOX Workshop this February 10 in Melbourne, Australia. It will delve into the framework that defines the enterprise and the process of establishing a common vision for the future for family members while providing a roadmap for how to implement this vision. If you can see that your Family Enterprise has grown bigger than the business, this is the workshop you need to consider attending. To learn more about this one-of-a-kind workshop, click here>>
